A business with a homogeneous workforce risks losing access to groups of
customers and clients. A mix of employees bring a variety of perspectives
and ideas to the table, which can provide a business with unique insights
market research can't always provide. Improved diversity also helps
companies recruit top performers in an industry and boost the morale of
current employees.
Question 1: How will you handle homogenous group with different
perspectives laid on the table? Make a process or strategies in handling
prioritization and consideration on the perspectives. How will you consider
the workplace decision making process? Present plans on diversity issues
in the workplace specifically in the Hospitality industry.

Issue no. 2. Communication Barriers and Problems (25 points)


Communication barriers lead to problems in a company attempting
to create a diverse workplace. When a U.S. company hires employees of
other cultures whose first language is not English, employees and
managers may experience difficulties communicating with one another.
This can lead to misunderstandings and a decrease in productivity.
Question 1: Present strategies in solving communication barriers in
the workplace. Create a program or intervention that would address
miscommunication among employees in the workplace. How hospitality
industry would be affected by such issue and what are the interventions
does the industry is practicing for the past years.

Issue no. 3. Diversity Implementation Challenges (25 points)


Although on paper workplace diversity may seem like a good idea,
many companies experience challenges when attempting to implement
changes. Employers must develop strategies for implementation, analyze
results and make necessary changes if results do not meet the
established goals. The implementation process may present challenges to
everyone involved, and frustrations may arise because implementation is
not as smooth as expected.
Question 1: Present or create a plan of implementation considering
you are on the top-level management in a hospitality workplace. Prepare
Gantt Chart or schedules and strategies to be implemented with
corresponding timeliness and responsible person.

Issue no. 4. Managing Workplace Diversity (25 points)


Once workplace diversity is implemented, companies must
effectively manage the changes in policies. This presents a challenge for
many organizations. Challenges in managing workplace diversity can stem
from several reasons, such as taking the wrong approach to solving
diversity issues.
    Question 1: Identify common problems that you may encounter after
your implementation. Make a plan of action on how to correct these
challenges. Identify the common errors and present a solution to avoid
errors in the implementation process. Consider hospitality workplace
diversity.
