NOTES:
1. Restrictions when Setting Frequencies
For the 6 to 11 GHz frequency bands, refer to the attached table provided for each
Frequency Spacing since the ranges of setting frequencies differ depending on
the channel spacings and Tx-Rx Space Frequencies.
For the 13 to 42 GHz frequency bands, the frequency range is covered with the
occupied bandwidths. Set the frequencies considering the occupied bandwidths.
Since the half of channel spacing to apply overlaps the range at both the Start and
Stop Frequencies, the actual frequency range is narrower than the occupied
bandwidth. See the table below.
The Point Frequency can be configured using the WebLCT, within the range of the
frequency table from one end to another. If the specified frequency exceeds the
designated range, the performances will be unsecured.
[Example 1]
For the 13 GHz IHG: Tx-Rx Spacing 266 MHz. the available ranges of the Sub-
Bands ("A" TX Lower = 12751.00 to 12807.00 MHz) are as shown below:

2-2 ODU Type: IHG
[Example 2]
For the 23 GHz IHG: Tx-Rx Spacing 1200 MHz. the available ranges of the Sub-
Bands ("E" TX Lower = 21200.000 to 21802.00 MHz) are as shown below:
CAUTION:
ODUs that have been used outside should NOT be disassembled without
following the appropriate procedures. Whenever the outer is removed, replace
the Silica Gel packs with new ones, and also the air leakage test should be
carried out using the air leakage tester that is manufactured and sold (optional)
by NEC.

FD SYSTEM CHANNEL ALLOCATION 3-1
This section provides the frequency allocation rules that are applied to the Frequency
Diversity (FD) System. The information in this section is not applicable for the single
channel system that is operated by the IDU using one MODEM only.
Sub-Band of ODU
For the co-polarization, the minimum TX-TX Separation Frequency should be 56
MHz or higher. In case of using HYB (hybrid combiner), the two frequencies should
be allocated within the same sub-band as shown below:
Assigning each frequency to the different sub-bands is NOT ALLOWED except for
using OBC (outdoor branch combiner).
NOTE: This separation frequency requirement is not applied for IAG3 type ODU.

3-2/END FD SYSTEM CHANNEL ALLOCATION
Sub-Band of ODU
For the Alternate-Polarization, the minimum TX-TX Separation Frequency should be
28 MHz or higher. Two frequencies should be allocated within the same sub-band;
should not be assigned to the different sub-bands. See below:
NOTE: This separation frequency requirement is not applied for IAG3 type ODU.
