1.1 ELECTRIC DRIVEN SURFACE PUMPS

SPECIFICATION SURFACE PUMP

1.1.1 General

 Surface pump directly coupled to electrical motor-centrifugal pump for water pumping
 Min permissible sand of 25 g/m3 of water
 End suction or self-prime type [it shall be indicated clearly]-rejection point

setting. Upper and low voltage protection, phase failure, phase sequence and light indicator. Protection from prolonged
overload and unstable manual position (active protection). Dry run protection circuit and working hour counter included.

2.1 Specification submersible pump
2.2.1General

 Submersible pump directly coupled to wet submersible motor for pumping ground water from deep wells.

2.2.2 Motor:
Motor shall be three phase, squirrel cage, induction type, continuously rated heaviest specified duty, the two-pole submersible motor
easily rewind able and the winding of the stator are made of special water proof wire of pure electrolytic copper sheathed with special
non hydroscopic thermoplastic material. Motors shall comply in all respects with the relevant parts of BS 4999 and BS 5000 standered
or equivalent, designed to run at high power factor and efficiency. In addition to the requirements it shall be capable of satisfactory
operation with frequency of + 5% above or below the nominal.

2.2.3 Pump

Impellers: In stainless steel or bronze key to the shaft by spines or Spilt cons or other means, other pump parts made of

 1.3. SPECIFICATIONS OF GENERATOR
1.3.1 Generating set specification
All equipment shall be supplied and delivered, designed, construction assembled and equipped in accordance with the operation
conditions specified.
General
 The desire generating sets shall consist of diesel engines and alternators mounted together on common base plates (skid mounted
with anti-vibration). It shall be rated for continues duty for operation under the climate conditions and altitude as specified and
shall be rated at speed of 1500 rpm.

The generator or alternator shall be the manufactures standard production model and shall be adequate to provide service under
normal operating conditions.
The alternator shall be effectively cooled by upon forced against ingress of small insects and rodents.

 If the prime power of the generator is greater than plus 10% of the required capacity.
 If the prime power of the generator is less than the required capacity
 If satisfactory brochure is not attached
 If the fuel consumption is greater than specified
 If the genset assembled parts (engine and alternator) are not original. Parts shall be from the original manufacturer.
 If the Temperature and altitude de-rate factors aren’t clearly indicated
 Delivery date

Additional requirements

Bidders are strictly required to meet the following requirements:

21. Supplier shall submit authorization letter issued by the manufacturer for the offer items.
22. Supplier must indicate the brand and origin of the items
23. Eligibility documents shall be attached to the technical offer.
24. The suppliers shall submit original technical brochures that can support/ confirm the technical information provided in the
technical proposal.
25. All pages of the documents shall be signed and sealed.
26. Un-priced BOQ shall be attached in the technical document for the offered items.
 27. The bidder shall quote for items listed in a lot sub lots he wishes to offer.
28. The bidders shall submit clause by clause commentary on technical specification and should clearly indicate its deviations; the
bidder is requested to indicate the pages of the technical documents where the relevant data are shown.
29. Deviation of the offered items in quantity, dimension (e.g. length, diameter)
30. Financial information not included in the technical offers. If any financial information included in the technical offers of the
bidders it leads to rejection.
