INTRODUCTION

Initiated by two passionate engineers in 2015 to create mark on mitigating the country’s energy
need through nature friendly renewable energy, with a fantastic team effort SCUBE
Technologies Limited has become the foremost player of industrial clean energy providers by
taking part in around 6.1 MW capacity of renewable energy in different industries and mini-
grids. This leadership was gained through a fantastic teamwork of our business, engineering
and support teams coming from different streams with diverse industry experiences.

In less than 3 years of operations SCUBE gained the trust of world leading renewable energy
equipment producers like SMA, JA Solar, Joymeter, Schneider Electric, ABB, Span Pumps Pvt
Limited etc. For its extensive organizational knowledge in solar energy design and
implementation and maintenance, SCUBE is awarded with a country service agency from SMA
Solar Technology AG, Germany, for SMA Inverter which is the most reliable inverter for solar
electricity throughout the world. SCUBE has also awarded the local sales and service agency
from JA Solar, producer of the third most used solar panels in the world according to Bloomberg
New Energy Finance (BNEF) reports.

SCUBE plays the following role in the clean energy market of Bangladesh –
EPC Contractor: SCUBE delivers solar energy based power projects to the industrial customers
in a turn-key basis as EPC contractors. As EPC Contractor, SCUBE also assists customers on
getting funding for the eligible projects.
Consultancy: SCUBE provides consultancy to the clean energy companies, regulators and
industrial customers on solar energy based power solutions.
Equipment Provider: SCUBE supplies all kind of solar energy equipment including PV Modules,
Inverters, Remote monitoring units, irrigation pumps and its controllers, Smart meters and
other accessories for various solar power plants.

SOLUTION:

SCUBE offers following renewable energy solutions to its customers and prospects –
Solar Power Plant:
A solar power plant produces electricity utilizing the sunlight and provides it to the users in a
regular quality that a utility company or generator provides. SCUBE offers solar power plants
for industries and commercial companies utilizing their unutilized roofs or lands. We have the
following types of Solar Power Plants –
A. On-Grid Solar Power Plant: A solar power plant that produces electricity from sunlight
in day time and is synchronized with the grid electricity, diesel generator or gas
generator. The priority of electricity feed is set according to client’s need.

B. Flexible Storage Solar Power Plant: This solar power plant produces electricity from
sunlight in day time, synchronizes with the existing power system and also stores clean
electricity to use in emergency or regular situation. The priority of electricity feed is
set according to client’s need.

C. Off-Grid Solar Power Plant: This solar power plant can directly feed the solar power
and store for regular use. This plant is suitable for industries who do not have electricity
from BPDB or its distributors and capable to run in a hybrid mode synchronizing with
diesel or gas generator.

Solar Hybrid Mini Grid Solution: A mini grid, also sometimes referred to as a "Micro Grid or
Isolated Grid or Nano Grid", is a power plant that produces, stores and supplies solar electricity
to a specific locality to satisfy its regular need. This solution is especially suitable for locality
where BPDB distributors do not have a distribution line.
Solar Irrigation Solution: A solar-powered pump is a pump running on electricity generated by
photovoltaic panels or the radiated thermal energy available from collected sunlight as opposed
to grid electricity or diesel run water pumps. SCUBE offers irrigation solutions that can support
ample land area using required number of pumps.

Energy efficient innovative gadgets: This type of solution provides energy efficient gadgets
for the industry and residential use (like: energy efficient lighting systems, Sensor based and
remote controlled appliances, efficient pumps and motors, etc.).

power generation. The company was founded in May 2005 and publicly listed on NASDAQ in
February 2007. JA Solar has been the world's leading cell producer since 2010, and has firmly
established itself as a tier 1 module supplier worldwide. According to the study of Bloomberg
New Energy Finance (BNEF) JA Solar is the 3rd largest Tier-1 panel producer of the world in
2018. SCUBE is the local partner of JA Solar for Bangladesh market responsible for marketing
and servicing of JA Solar panels.

Zhejiang Joy Electronic Technology Co., Ltd is one of the largest IoT companies of the world
working with smart meters. The company market its product, smart electric meter, under the

World Class Equipment:

SCUBE believes in maximizing customers’ profit and thus uses world leading equipment in its

Solar Panel:
We use JA Solar Panel, ranked as the 3rd most used tier-1 solar panel of the world and the most
preferred PV panel of the country. The latest PERC technology enabled mono-crystalline solar
panel can optimize the energy yield through its excellent low-light performance and lower
temperature coefficient feature. The IP 67 junction box prevents any electrical hazards due to
air and water.

Inverter:
We use world’s number one solar power inverter SMA of Germany. SMA Sunny Tripower Core1
can yield maximum solar energy through optimized DC-AC ratio (up to 150% of declared
capacity) and 6 MPPT input points comparing to 3 of other available inverter. The IP 65
equipment can protect the device performance from air and water pressure and can be installed
in an open place. It has the highest tolerance against grid fluctuation and over voltage and
highly integrated with MIS software.

SCUBE designs and produces DC and AC combiner boxes with customization considering each
project environment. Our in-house design team focuses on quality, long life and higher yield on
designing the combiner boxes.

Fuel Save Controller:

SCUBE uses its unique Fuel Save Controller that ensures optimized energy utilization using
Siemens (Germany) hardware. Fuel Save Controller is a smart device that analyses fuel
information from different sources and thus maximize use of the lowest cost solar energy. It
also optimizes use of fuel of the generators if there is any.

Remote Monitoring and Controlling Tool:

We believe in empowering our customers on understating the solar power plant system and
optimize the use of solar electricity. Our unique remote monitoring and control system enables
our customer on –

 Monitoring the energy yield down to string level

 Monitoring the meteorological data of the plant size
 Taking corrective actions to increase yield by controlling variables

Accessories:
We use fully imported customized anodized aluminum solar panel structure to fix the panels in
the roof for highest lifetime and strongest bond to avoid tilting of the panels in natural calamity.

MAJOR PROJECTS

1. 723.06 KWp Capacity On-Grid Solar Power Plant, Paragon Poultry Limited

This is the largest rooftop on-grid solar power plant of the country implemented in
Gazipur with 2260 panels laid in 723060 square feet of roof area and 27 inverters. This
complex project is synchronized with BREB electricity, Diesel Generator and the Solar
Power Plant. This plant is providing clean electricity to the client with an average annual
capacity of producing 9,26,348 kWh electricity.

2. 255 KWp Capacity On-Grid Solar Power Plant, UHM Limited, LEED Project
Situated in the Admjee Export Processing Zone (AEPZ) this solar power plant is generating
326693.25 kWh of clean electricity annually for our client UHM Limited, a concern of URMI
Group, engaged in RMG business. This solar power plant synchronizes power from different
sources like BREB, Diesel Generator and Solar Electricity. 797 PV panels and 10 inverters
were used using 255000 Square Feet of rooftop of this factory. This power plant was
constructed complying with all the LEED criteria for a solar power plant.

3. 249.6 kWp Solar Diesel Hybrid Mini-grid, Vincent G-Tech Limited,

This mini-grid is dedicatedly providing grid quality electricity to the people of Munier Char,
an island situated in the district of Jamalpur. This mini-grid is lighting up 570 Households,
110 Commercial and 9 Non-profit & Government Organizations. This mini-grid has been
sponsored and financed by Vincen Gtech Limited (VGL) and Infrastructure Development
Company Limited (IDCOL) respectively.

4. 249.6 kWp Solar Diesel Hybrid Mini-Grid, BBTIL

Situated at Fulchari, Gaibandha, this mini-grid is the one and only source of electricity to
the people of the island. This min-grid has been designed to supply uninterrupted electricity
to the 612 household along with the 86 commercial shops, 22 educational institutions, 6
rice husking mills and 6 irrigation pumps. This mini-grid has been sponsored and financed
by BBTIL and Infrastructure Development Company Limited (IDCOL) respectively.

5. 156 kWp Solar Diesel Hybrid Mini-Grid, UDDIPAN

This Solar Hybrid Mini-grid has been designed to provide the grid quality electricity to the
people Char Shalipur of Char Vadrashan, Faridpur. This mini-grid is the main source of the
electricity demand of the people of the island. This mini-grid covers the electricity supply
including 544 households, 82 shops, 9 educational institutes and 20 irrigation pumps. This
project has been sponsored and financed by UDDIPAN and Infrastructure Development
Company Limited (IDCOL) respectively.
