Synopsis:

Competition has become a way of our life. So much so that nearly all of our thoughts, words and
actions are guided by comparatives and superlatives. The fence that separates healthy and unhealthy
competition is largely a grey area, misunderstood, misinterpreted or conveniently redefined time and
again.
Does this way of life also guide the thoughts, words and actions of the professionals, students, family,
friends and relatives? Do we need to retune the driving forces that steer the quality of our own output?
Is it time that we blend the past into the present to create a peaceful future? After all, the goal isn’t to
live forever; the goal is to create something that will.
Today, when wars are “won” or “lost” while societies bleed, when TRP ratings of contest rooted
Reality Shows reign supreme, when rivalry inspires crime day in and day out, do we need a relook
into the driving forces behind the “success through competition” models, or redefine “competition”
itself?
