geography of Vietnam because this is the place that I have lived since I was born. This is a country in Asia. The area of Vietnam is 331.2 12 km². Vietnam borders the Gulf of Thailand in the southwest, the Gulf of Tonkin and the East Sea in the east, China in the north, Laos, and Cambodia in the west. There are six mountain ranges in Vietnam include Annamite Range, Ba Vi mountain range, Bay Nui range, Marble Mountain range, May Tao range, and Song Ma range. And Fansipan is the highest mountain in Vietnam and also the highest of the three Indochina countries, so it is dubbed the "Roof of Indochina" in the Hoang Lien Son mountain range, about 9 km southwest of Sapa town center, bordering the two provinces of Lao Cai and Lai. Chau belongs to the Northwest region of Vietnam. The height of the mountain of the measurement in 1909 was 3,143 m, but according to the latest data from the Department of Geodesy, Maps and Geographic Information released in late June 2019 to date, the mountain is 3,147, 3m. The longest river in Vietnam is Redriver which is1,149 km originating from China flowing through Vietnam and flowing into the East Sea. The section flowing on Vietnamese soil is 510 km long. This is an important river of Vietnamese wet-rice culture and also the longest river in Vietnam. There are many islands in Vietnam but the most furthest island from mainland is Tri Ton Island.
