As the Lockdown continued, the CPA team continued the lockdown diaries and Cultura programs with the Covid protocol "stay
safe at home". The online episodes 21-27 were streamed on the official college Facebook link. The events were themed to convey
the message that through fine arts we can improve our mental and physical health during this pandemic. The theme of Cultura for
the month of June was ” The sound of soil”. Here are the few captures of the events.

Department of Chemical Engineering since 2011 which was initiated by the donor

The project titled "Gramin Genie - A Smart Kiosk" was presented by students Learning Scholarship.

Majumder(1DS17EC106), Ritesh Rohan (1DS17EC099). It was carried out under the Mr. Arjun S secured 5th rank in
guidance of Dr. Rajagopal A and it won “Best project Award in Session 16 Track Nokia Collegiate Code
5C”, at “5th IEEE National Level Project Competition-2021" on 26th of June 2021. Warriors Hunt 2021.
The Project titled "Fleet Monitoring System” was presented by students Sanjay Mr. Calan Pereira got 10th
Sampath(1DS18EC721) and D Chirag Chinvar(1DS18EC733). It was carried out Rank in ISTE state-level
under the guidance of Dr. Mahesh Kumar N, and it won the “Best project Award in coding competition.
Session 28 Track 7D”.
The event was organized by GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for
Women, Mysuru, IEEE Student Branch in association with IEEE Bangalore Section
and IEEE Mysore Sub Section, Co-Sponsored by IEEE Circuits & Systems Society

World environment day is very important day in our life. It is the day when we get aware of issues related to our environment and pledge to keep it safe for our better
future. It aims to protect the natural environment forever on the earth for the healthy life. It is run by the United Nations Environment Programme whereas its annual
celebration is organized by the different host city every year declared by the United Nations. The host country of this campaign in 2021 is Pakistan, with the theme of
“Ecosystem Restoration”. Ecosystem Restoration is the process of re-establishing to the extent possible the structure, function, and integrity of indigenous ecosystems
and the sustaining habitats that they provide an ecologically healthy relationship between nature and culture.
All kind of ecosystems can be restored, including forests, farmlands, lakes & rivers, rehabilitation, reclamation, and bioremediation, wetlands and oceans. Restoration
initiatives can be launched by anyone, from governments and development agencies to businesses, communities and individuals. The causes of degradation are many
and varied, and can have an impact at different scales. Cities and towns can see like ecological deserts. But urban areas have huge potential for restoration. Citizen
groups and municipal authorities can clean up waterways, let bee-friendly plants grow and create urban woodland and other wildlife habitats in parks, schools and other
public spaces. Mowing grass less frequently is cheaper for cities and allows nature to thrive. Permeable sidewalks and urban wetlands protect against flooding and
pollution. Contaminated industrial areas can be rehabilitated and turned into places for nature and recreation.
The condition of our healthy environment is getting declined day by day just because of the industrialization, urbanization, population growth, deforestation, pollution,
technological development, global warming, etc. It affects the health of living beings and environment very badly. We should take care of our environment all through
the life. It can be done only when we will keep our eyes open and be active to bring some positive changes within ourselves and environment. We should make our kids
and children aware about this issue so that they can be the active agents of this campaign in future.
