WHAT ARE TWO TO THREE
ABIOTIC FACTORS THAT
MAY AFFECT YOUR FOOD
WEB IN THIS ECOSYSTEM?
Short answer 1
The three abiotic factors that may affect my food web in this ecosystem are water, sunlight, and
soil.
All living organisms need water. Plants must have water to grow. Without water, animals
become weak and confused, and they can die if they do not rehydrate.
Sunlight is the main source of energy on Earth. Sunlight is necessary for photosynthesis, the
process by which plants convert carbon dioxide and water to oxygen and sugar – food for the
plants that later become food for animals. Without the sun, plants could not live, and without
plants, animals could not live.
Soil provides plants with a foothold for their roots and holds the necessary nutrients for plants
to grow. Plants can grow without soil, but they cannot grow without the necessities that soil
provides. Plants need support, nutrients, protection from adverse temperatures, an even supply
of moisture, and they need oxygen around the roots. So that why plants need soil!

DESCRIBE WHAT MAY

answer 2 HAPPEN IF IT WERE REMOVED

FROM THE ECOSYSTEM?

If the shrub was removed from the food web, there will be four animals
include mountain goat, mule deer, bison, and grizzly bear, they will have fewer
options to eat. But all the animal include the human need to have a lot of food
to choose. We can't just eat one type of food. We can't eat beef for the whole
life, because we will not get enough nutrition. We need to eat different foods
such as fish, pork, vegetable, seafood, and sometimes street food. Animal
either. They can't only eat one type of organism. If there wasn't one organism,
the balance of the whole food web would change.
