Low fuel pressure.


Rail pressure sensor malfunction.

Test instruction:

Purpose: Action: Evaluation:

Check fuel hoses Check if there is leakage in fuel hoses or connections. None.

Remove the hollow screw from the fuel return connection.
Connect the nipple 88840090 and the fuel hose
88840084.

Disconnect the connector between the prefilter and the
fuel return hose from the engine.
Connect a transparent hose according to illustration
above.
Pump with the hand pump until the hose is visibly free
from air.
3.
Run the engine at 600 rpm.
Check the fuel for air bubbles.

11. Warning
The fuel may become very hot.

Restore after the performed procedure.

Note: At engine start air bubbles may appear due to connection of hoses.
If there are air bubbles in the fuel it indicates either air or gas leakage.
If air bubbles only appear on the injector return line the most probable fault is exhaust gas leakage by the injector.
