Saint Solomon was beatified on October 17, 1926 and his beatification received

formal approval from pope pius XI. The pontiff beatified Solomon together with 188 of
his fellow martyrs.

On his path to sainthood, Saint Solomon is credited with a miracle that took place
in 2007. A five-year-old Venezuelan girl was cured of complications from a venomous
snakebite through the prayers offered by religious Sisters, children and parishioners
before their church’s statue of Saint Solomon, who was venerated in the area.

The miracle was confirmed in 2016 by the diocese of Caracas at the end of a
five-year process, and Pope Francis proclaimed the decree of canonization on May 10,
2016. The canonization itself was celebrated in Saint Peter's Square on 16 October
2016. A musical play entitled “Solomon: the musical” which was written by Erick Aguilar
and directed by Riki Benedicto was made in order to portray the life of saint Solomon
and teach us lessons about equality, freedom, and brotherhood.

Saint. Solomon’s life story inspires people to assess themselves and the essence
of their faith. It makes us acknowledge the people who hold onto their faith in God even
if it means risking their life. It challenges us to be more aware of the people who suffer
from the injustice, and reach out to them.
