Biography
A civil & environmental engineer with an MSc. In geotechnical engineering from England, with 4 years of experience
of infrastructural work, especially of geotechnical field, and knowledge in the management of urban infrastructure as
well as strong communication, teamwork, research and analytical skills and working towards chartership with ICE.
Software skills
Autocad, Roclab, gINT, Slide 6.0, Settle3, Plaxis, Geosolve Wallap, Allpile, Abaqus, Matlab, Python, CRM.
Work Experience
Advanced Construction Technology Services (ACTS) – Beirut
Geotechnical Consultant, March 2020 – Present
Duties:
• Analyze data and soil samples through field and laboratory analysis to determine type, classification,
characteristics and stability of soil.
• Supervise, train and evaluate assigned staff in the geotechnical Division.
• Prepare Geotechnical Quotations, Project Schedule and ensure that schedule is timely met using
Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
• Prepare borehole/fences/trial-pit logs and analyze in-situ/lab tests using gINT.
• Compute bearing weights and prepare maps, charts, and reports of test results using Microsoft Office,
and Calculate Geo-mechanical parameters using Technical References, Roclab and implement them on
Plaxis, Settle3 and other Technical Software.
• Make recommendation regarding foundation design, slope angles, grading, or building heights or any
other Geotechnical related matter, and determine if faults or fractures in soils would be detrimental.
• Calculate slope stability cut and fill projects using Slide 6.0.
• Provide safety conscience, maintain and operate drill rig equipment such as rotary drill and auger drill.
• Provide a desk study and site investigation using BS5930.
• Meet with inspectors, engineers, contractors to determine corrective action required when there are
discrepancies between work done and the approved plans, specifications and standards.
Degree focused on studying geotechnical design taking into consideration the environmental impacts and included
subjects such as environmental management for geotechnical engineers; finite element analysis; geotechnical
engineering design; strategic & general management.
This course combined theoretical study and project work, developing transferable skills in:
• Working independently, setting own deadlines and managing workloads effectively for example, project
on designing the foundation of high rise building under specific requirements using Geosolve Wallap for
designing retaining wall, and Csi Safe for designing piled raft.
• Working in teams on how to manage an engineering company with a job progression study, procurement
study, overhead study and financial study using Enginuity, and analyzed the challenges and opportunities
facing the company using Pestel, Swot, and Porter 5 Forces.
• Conducting research using different tools, sources such as news archive material, publications, and
government records with making a professional report.
• Assess the environmental impacts for a contaminated soil using geotechnical instruments.
Degree focused on studying all the sub disciplines of civil & environmental engineering.
Internship
• Batinah Expressway P6, Consolidated Contractors Company, (Sultanate of Oman) June – August 2015.
• Sequoia Office Building, Hourieh Enterprise, (Beirut, Lebanon) June – September 2014.
