PROJECT TITLE : New Orbital Highway (Expressway Project) Contract-3, Qatar.

MAIN CONTRACTOR : Al Jaber Engineering & Leighton Contracting Qatar (Joint Venture)
Project Value : QR 6.2 billion (US$1.7 billion)

This Major Infrastructure Project’s Scope is Construction of 50 kilometers long, 14 lanes


(5 Main + 2 truck Lanes in each direction) Expressway with 5 grade separated interchanges,
10 truck underpasses, 16 Bicycle Underpasses and tracks and utility corridor. Scope of work
includes 2.2 million Tons of Asphalt, 1 Million Cum of Cement Bound Material and 1.2 Million
Cum of Sub-base.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. FEB-2015 to September-2016:
SITE QA/QC Civil Engineer - For Road Works, Pavement & Utilities
 QC Inspections & checks for Road works including moving earthworks, back filling,
curbstones, Pavement, sub-base, Asphalt courses, traffic signs and all associated civil
and hard landscaping works.
 Inspecting the Concreting Works for substructure, superstructure of Structural Works &
for Pipe Laying, back filling, Concreting of Utilities works.
 Monitoring internal & Subcontractors performance to ensure the quality of work is
complying with project requirements and QCS.
 Quality checks on the materials used like GABBRO, Aggregates, Sand and Bitumen.
 Supervision of all the above works in progress to ensure that procedures are followed
and materials used conform to specifications.
 Preparation of construction samples materials to be test as Per the ITP & Method
statement Ensure the identification on every sample.
 Recording all the pass and fail on the test result and report it to the Supervisor assigned.
 Was effectively raising Non-conformance Report (INCR) in case of deviation in the
implementation of the project.

2. September-2016 to July-2018:
QA/QC Office Engineer- For Road Works, Pavement & Utilities
 Preparing & completing all necessary QA/QC documentation with regards to IR/RFI, ITP,
Method Statement, Test Reports, and Record Logs.
 Closing of INCR & NCR issued by clients/ consultant by making proposal for corrective
action/preventive action.
 Ensuring the compliance with Quality Requirements in coordination with the Project
Management.
 Liaise to the consultant or third party in the project.
 Encoding all the accepted and rejected raw materials, checking material test reports.

3. July-2018 to Present:
QA/QC Engineer- FINAL SNAGGING & SNAG MANAGEMENT WORKS FOR ROADS
 Identification of Outstanding SNAG items at site & preparing SNAGs.
 Coordinating with Site Execution Team for closing of outstanding Snags.
 Final Closing out of SNAGS with proper rectification with the acceptance of
Consultant/Client/End Users with reference to records & evidences.
 Preparing the project dossier for final handing over.
 Ensuring the compliance with Quality Requirements in coordination with the Project
Management for Final Handover to the Client & End Users.

B. PERIOD : Jan-2014 to Jan-2015.


POSITION : QA/QC Civil Site Engineer.
COMPANY : The Engineers Consultancy, Hyderabad-INDIA.
PROJECT TITLE : Design, Estimation & Construction of a Multi-Storey building.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
 Following up the concreting works in a presence of the Engineer or Consultant, slump
test and cubes preparation for the compressive test.
 Assure all technical documents relative to site quality control are current status.
 Effectively allocate labor, equipment, materials and subcontractors to maximize safety
and profitability and to minimize costs and deficiencies.
 Provide full time on-site supervision making sure the work performed and materials
used are as specified in the contract.
 Liaising with subcontractors, clients and other professional staff.
 Check plans and drawings to ensure all calculations are accurate.
 Setting out the works in accordance with the drawings and specification.
 Ensure that construction projects are completed within planned cost and time.
 Ensure that any change in project plan is executed by contractors.
 Keep accurate records of material and labor costs incurred in the construction process.
 Preparation of labor reports and daily work progress reports.
 Maintain good relationship with site workers, contractors, and suppliers.
