Chapter 1 Reflection

1. What do you consider to be your underlying philosophy or values for creating and maintaining a
controlled classroom environment?
I consider good Management with consistency in creating a controlled classroom
environment. Teacher deals with multiple students with multiple behavioral traits the only thing that
will link them to each other is a good Classroom management. Teacher should establish a consistent
Classroom management that will serve as a guide to students while they are inside the classroom, this
includes daily routine, learning procedures, and a conducive to learning environment. A Good
management will may lead to a harmonious relationship between teachers and students.

2. How does this chapter discussion change your view of your own teaching practices as they pertain to
classroom management and discipline?
This chapter helps me a lot in terms of Classroom Management. This will guide in establishing
an effective Classroom Management that promotes a Good Teaching Learning process without
imposing threats and punishment to the students. This Chapter also enlightened me how to have an
Effective Classroom Management and How to establish strategies that will inspire Students Academic
Success.

3. Now that you have explored the difference between classroom management and classroom discipline,
write down two strengths and two weaknesses that you have in the area of established classroom
management as it pertains to student behavior that is exhibited in your classroom.

My Strengths in management includes ability to solve conflicts inside the classroom and ability
to understand the feelings and emotion of students. My weakness in terms of Management includes
various factors like Education Support System, Physical Facilities (classroom, chairs, an others)
Teacher and Student’s ratio which results to a crowded learning environment.
