- A defensive driver is alert, has knowledge, has foresight, take time to
educate themselves about safe driving techniques.
• What are the basic traffic rules and regulations?
- Always pay attention to the road signs and drive at a safe
speed appropriate for the road and traffic conditions.

Safety Questions
• What are the requirements to maintain traffic safety?
- Be patient to stay safe. Follow Traffic Signals – Pay attention to and obey
stop signs, traffic lights, yield signs, and other traffic signals. Respect
Yellow Lights – Remember this means slow down and prepare to stop, not
hit the gas and speed through the intersection.

- Drivers with violations should submit themselves to traffic enforcers and
follow proper protocol in case of confiscation of license and ticketing of
violations.

• What would you do in the event that you have not brought your license?
- The Land Transportation office has the authority to confiscate your driver’s
license. However, the government offices can deputize certain individuals
to confiscate your license if you have committed a traffic violation. These
authorized individuals have their respective mission orders which consist
of their area of responsibility, time of duty, official function, and an
indication of whether they are authorized to issue tickets or to confiscate
licenses.

Developing a habit of following traffic rules will result in less chance of

system function is the adherence of drivers to the rules.
