What are your views regarding teaching as a profession?

I think you will agree with me that teaching as a profession is a so vital in the society especially
now we are experiencing a pandemic. In this trying time I more come to realize how rewarding
this profession is. Come to think of it how we as a teacher encouraged to learn and grow our
student in a safest way possible. We developed modules to the students in different subject
areas so student still can grasp and learn our lesson in their own pace. With distance learning
we still provide moral support and moral guidance when needed online using our cellphones or
laptops, data and internet connection. We still able to interact with our students and able to
identifies which students are facing challenges, then involves parents and/or anyone else who
can help, in order to move the child from where they are to where they need to be through
online chat or txt or call. Above all, we still can show our love and compassion, care and
guidance to our students even on a distance. With face mask and face shield, frequent washing
of hands and distance learning we still provide quality education to students. I’m lucky to be in
this profession we still deliver quality education even in this trying time.

What are your prevailing attitudes towards children/to your students?

Me as a teacher, I see to it that I still can provide students with the highest quality of
education possible. In this trying time of pandemic let’s agree that learning is so difficult
with no face to face classroom setting. I deleted fear of learning new teaching strategies
or incorporating new technologies into lesson. With distance learning the lesson is still
ongoing that I encourage my students to join my online class. During my online class
there are rules that is set while the class is ongoing. And most importantly I always set
high expectations for all students that after this, they are expected to answer the
modules given to them and pass all that is required from them.

What is/are your contribution/s to the field of education?

As a teacher, I play important roles in the lives of the students. Aside from I am
accountable for the success and failures I play an important role in character
development, or the shaping of a student's reputation, honor, and integrity hereby
making them a better citizen of this country.

What is/are your contribution/s to improve education for future generations?

In this time of pandemic, the best lesson is I learned is the importance of technological
advancements to improve learning e.g. virtual reality, real life simulation, big data
analytics, machine learning, artificial intelligence etc. With this technology we can create
students who are motivated to pursue lifelong learning, and become self-directed
learners, yet collaborative scientists, to contribute to the progress of science, technology
and all disciplines, in a complex society and world with or without the pandemic difficult
or not difficult the situation is.
