This document contains data from three trials of measuring the temperature of pure stearic acid over time as it cools, as well as temperature measurements from additional substances being added. The temperatures of pure stearic acid decreased gradually over time from around 80°C to 69°C over the course of 10 minutes in each trial. Additional substances were added afterwards, and their temperatures also decreased gradually over time but to lower minimum temperatures than pure stearic acid. Mass measurements were also recorded for a test tube before and after adding an unknown fatty acid.
