II. Laboratory Questions:

1. In your own opinion, which part of the microscope is the most important? Support your answer.

In my opinion, the most important part of the microscope is the objective lenses, without the lenses,
you won`t be able to see the specimen a closer look.

2. Why does the letter “e” under the microscope appear inverted?

Its because maybe the slide must be moved to other opposite side direction .

3. What do you think is the reason why you need to focus specimens under the LPO first before focusing
under the HPO?

It allows you to center the specimen, and if it is set up correctly, then when you switch objectives it
should still be there and only need fine focusing. It also reduces the chance of crushing the specimen or
breaking the slide or lens as the lpo is further away from the slide than the hpo.

III. Conclusion/Generalization (what have you learned?)

I learned how to observe the parts of the microscope and to differentiate the lpo and hpo.
