Minutes of Virtual Meeting for School Brigada Eskwela Implementation

Date: May 19,2020

PRESENT: All Gatong ES Teacher

ABSENT: NONE

The School Head and the School Brigada Eskwela Coordiantor called the virtual meeting at
8:00 AM for the Brigada Eskwela Activities for the School Year 2020-2021. The meeting
formally started at 8:30 AM with a prayer led by Mrs. Donnalyn B. Pombo. The welcome
address was delivered by Bernalin Mansiwagan, the school Brigada Coordinator. A message
was also delivered by Ma’am Girlie M. Limbadan, the head teacher of the school. The following
is the agenda of the virtual meeting.

Assessment of School needs

The School Facility Coordinator Maria Luz Balaba conducted the inspection on the
School Facility on April 29,2020. Balaba presented the BE Form 1 Physical Facilities
Repairs and Maintenance Needs Assessment Form.

The School needs were identified.

Virtual Brigada Eskwela Campaign

Bernalin Mansiwagan shared that Brigada Eskwela will deviate from the traditional
concept of physical cleaning, painting, repainting, and doing minor repairs in schools and
will instead prioritize preparations and strengthening partnership engagement to ensure
that quality basic education will continue despite the challenges posed by COVID-
19.Stakeholders can support the initiative by donating thermal scanners; hand sanitizing
equipment or materials; and printing of COVID-19 and sanitation/proper hand washing
hygiene information materials to aid BE and OBE in introducing protection and health
protocols to learners and teachers.

Ma’am Girlie Limbadan suggested that teachers should use online platform to attract
stakeholders to support the school. Teachers will initiate activities that will engage
stakeholders. The OBE will ensure that every question from parents and learners in
relation to new and adjusted DepEd policies, rules, and regulations on enrolment and
class opening due to the COVID-19 situation will be addressed.
