I. General Program Information

Program Title BRIGADA ESKWELA 2022 PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION

Program Description The program aims to prepare the school for the opening of classes in light with the new normal setting in this time of COVID 19
pandemic

Duration August 1- August 26 , 2022

Delivery Mode A nearly one month of physical activities on cleaning, disinfecting the classrooms, repairing of hazardous structures, clearing of
electrical wires and trees and other important activities relative to generating resources to equip the school with sanitary needs and
measures against corona virus and other variants.

Target Partners 68 teaching personnel and non teaching personnel/PTA/LGUs/NGOs

Theme Brigada Eskwela: “Tugon sa Hamon ng Ligtas na Balik-aral”

Rationale:

Brigada Eskwela Program is an annual program of the Department of Education which promotes partnership of schools and stakeholders in making the schools
prepared for the opening of classes through doing a collaborative work of cleaning the school premises and doing repairs of the facilities. It also entails convincing donors
that would help the school be equipped and make the it a better and safe environment for learning.

Aside from the usual activities conducted in the past Brigada Eskwela, School Heads
must ensure the following among other related initiatives:
a. Coordinate with the Local Government Units (LGUs) or other non- government
organizations (NGOs) and volunteers to clean and disinfect school buildings,
classrooms, and other school facilities.
b. Engage partners to raise the availability of the following items in school during Brigada
Eskwela:
Ensure that psychological first aid or other psychological interventions and
debriefing are conducted in partnership with stakeholders during the
implementation of Brigada Eskwela.
Conduct orientation activities with teachers, partners, Parents-Teachers
Associations (PTA) and learners on DepEd’s Basic Education Learning Continuity
Plan (BE-LCP), with special focus on the implementation of DepEd multiple
learning delivery modalities. The use of computer-mediated communication
 
strategy in conducting above-cited activities is highly encouraged. i. Printing of COVID-19 and sanitation/proper hand washing hygiene
information materials;
Coordinate with the concerned DepEd units on the possible implementation of Gulayan sa ii. Printing of materials and provision of supplies for distance learning
