How can Business Analytics improve COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution and Administration?

In the previous course in Business Analytics, we learn that Business analytics is the process of
using quantitative methods to derive meaning from data in order to make informed business
decisions. With the given links, we learn that business analytics can also help with the process of
vaccine distribution and administration.
Using descriptive analysis, the interpretation of the past data is used to identify the trends
and patterns in monitoring the spread of infection. This allows the government to see the
patterns within the COVID monitoring as well as to identify the most needed place to given
attention to.
With the recent news covering increase in number of COVID cases in NCR as well in parts
in Cebu City, the government is informed thus creating plans on how to maximize the urgency of
vaccination within the said area. This allows governments to see places that needs prioritization.
Aside from this, business analytics can help with managing future outbreaks by using Predictive
analysis, as well as to share real-time health insights and optimize supply chains and medical
resources.
This can only prove that a data-driven strategy can help identify and estimate critical
places and population that may need vaccination urgently. Aside from this, allocation for both
medical supplies as well as staff can be managed properly with the help of data analysis.
When a person is vaccinated, all information is saved in the site and reported to the
proper department assigned to monitor the doses that were used. Aside from the number of
people vaccinated per day, the number of people who had side effects and even the smallest bit
of data is recorded. This is so that the data can be used properly and translated to manage,
foresee and create proper solutions so that everything would follow specific tactics and strategies.
