This document contains 15 practice problems related to quantum mechanics, energy levels of electrons, Fermi energy, photoelectric effect, transmission of electrons through potential barriers, and thermocouples. The problems cover calculating energy levels, wave functions, probabilities, transmission coefficients, kinetic energy, and potential differences using concepts like infinite potential wells, work functions, Fermi-Dirac statistics, and Seebeck effect. The document was prepared by Er Dhurba Karki and is intended as a tutorial on theories of metals for engineering students.
