With reference discussions had with you, kindly give your quotation for Geotechnical Investigation at ELSR
locations and Semi underground reservoirs including pump room under UP water supply projects in the
districts as indicated in the letter of Enquiry.

2. 50 % payment in advance is necessary before the commencement of the work 30% till work and 20% after
data submission.
3. Transportation and local hospitality in case of onsite testing born by the client.
4. J & S Consultants shall not be responsible for giving any legal defense / opinion for appearing in court of low in
connection with the report/test result submitted.
5. J & S Consultants has the right to published the report/ test results

1. Scope of Work:
The Scope of Work includes
i) Mobilization and demobilization of required man power machinery and all other required
equipment as per work requirement etc.
ii) Taking trial bore of 150mm dia in ground & water level up to required depth in all types of
soils including hire charges and machinery and labour etc. as directed by the engineer in
charge.
iii) Collection of undisturbed & disturbed soil samples 100mm dia X 450mm long tubes with
one side threaded and both side wax ceilings as directed by engineer in charge.
iv) Conducting standard penetration test as per IS 2131 -1981 using split spoon sampler and
drive weight assembly of required depth in all types of soil including hire charges for
machinery and Labour etc., work shall be execute as per directed by engineer in charge.
v) To submit all the required soil bore log data with all details as directed by the engineer in
charge.

2. Investigation & submission of Reports:

For structural design purposes, Geotechnical investigation shall be conducted and SBC shall
be found out at required depths at locations of Intake well, SUGRs, Cushion Tanks, Pump
houses, Bridge structures and other important structures:
Confirming to relevant IS Code, through the Government approved Labs.
The soil test shall include bore log, SPT, UDS test, Tri-axial test, Vane shear test, core
sample test, plate load test depending upon requirement of the structural design of the
structures.

3. Duration of Work:
Commencement of Work: Immediately on Receipt of Work Order and to be completed with 5
days from the start date of sample collection.
Submission of Geotechnical Investigation Reports: With 10 Days from sample collection
Date.
Total duration of Work: To be completed within 15 days from the start date of work.

4. Submission of Reports:
Submission of Geotechnical Reports consisting of Field Bore Log Details, Laboratory test
results consisting of Atterberg's Limit, SPT, UDS test, Tri-axial test, Vane shear test, core
sample test, plate load test, Grain Size distribution, Bulk density, Natural moisture content,
Specific gravity , Consolidation, Unconfined - compression test etc. and Calculations for Safe
Bearing Capacity of soils.
