Subject: Proposal for Soil Investigation of Three Storey Residential Building,
Parkhomes Muntinlupa City

Dear Sir and Ma’am;

As per your request, we are pleased to submit our price quotation for accomplishing the required
soil investigation needed in the design of the foundation for the above-mentioned project.

For your consideration, please find below our formal proposal under the following terms and conditions:

1. SCOPE OF WORK
A. Soil Drilling and Sampling
 Proposed location will be investigated by one (1) borehole with depth of 12 meters on soil formation or
until three (3) consecutive refusal by using manual/cathead-rotary drilling machine in combination with
(SPT), adapting a continuous sampling technique for soil drilling.
 When encountering rock formation, the borehole will be investigated with a rotary drilling machine
using diamond or rock bit at maximum core run of 6.00 meters from the soil contact to recover core
samples. Rotary diamond drilling investigation shall be terminated right away after confirming the
presence of a bedrock formation.
 In mountainous to hilly terrain, where transporting and the use of rotary drilling machine is not feasible
due to absence of access road, cuthead/manual drilling will be employed in combination with Standard
Penetration Test (SPT) to perform the required soil investigation.
 Standard Penetration Test (SPT) shall be performed at 1.00m. interval using a 50-mm O.D. split spoon
sampler driven by a 63.6 kg hammer falling at 76.0cm (30 inches) whenever soil is encountered.
 Competent Geologist will log soil/rock samples.
 All measurements, observation and other pertinent data such as location, water table and site
geology shall be recorded in appropriate geologic boring logs.
Appropriate ASTM standard will be followed in the drilling and sampling procedures.

B. Laboratory Testing
Routinary laboratory tests shall be performed on soil samples recovered on SPT samples such that
reliable classification, identification and determination of the physical properties of the sub-surface
materials and analysis can be carried out.
Routine Laboratory Testing comprises a). Soil Classification, b). Grain Size Analysis, c). Atterberg Limits
and d). Natural Moisture Content.
2. GEOTECHNICAL REPORT
A final Soil Investigation Report will be submitted in three (3) copies and shall contain all the field and
laboratory test results, geologic boring logs, results of SPT and all other relevant test data to make an evaluation
of the subsurface condition of the proposed location. The final report will contain the estimated soil bearing
capacity of the subsurface materials based on the N-Values obtained from SPT and appropriate
recommendations to assist the designer to choose the most suitable footing foundation.

3. ESTIMATED CHARGES
The cost of Soil Investigation is presented below. This amount includes all aspect of work such as mobilization &
demobilization, site-to-site transfer, drilling, laboratory test, evaluation of results and report writing.

The price is VAT EXCLUSIVE and in Philippine Peso.

LOCATION AMOUNT
183 Quezon St., Poblacion, Muntinlupa City ₱ 40,000.00

4. TERMS OF PAYMENT
A. Fifty Percent (50%) down payment shall be due and payable upon signing of this document.
B. Final payment upon submission of geotechnical report.
Payments should be made through this account:

Account Name: Raymond Limjuico

Account Number: 38 290 33967
Bank name: BPI

5. DURATION
The work shall commence immediately after acceptance and issuance of Purchase Order.
Soil Drilling of one site usually took one to two days to complete depending on materials encountered
including site-to-site transfer. The report will be submitted within five to seven days after completing all
soil laboratory tests.

6. OTHER CONDITIONS

The client shall be responsible for the following provisions free of charge but not limited to:
 All necessary local permits and right of entry into the project site for the drilling crew and vehicles.
 Additional cost if manual hauling of drilling rig and accessories is needed.
 Damages to improvement and crops, if any, because of the drilling works.
 Delays caused by adverse weather conditions such as typhoons, heavy rains, and other
unforeseen events shall not be applied to our stipulated performance period
 Right of Way.
 Samples will be disposed one week after submission of final soil investigation report unless
claimed earlier by the client.
 Soil Boring Equipment to be mobilized and demobilized

Should our proposal meet your requirement and approval, kindly sign on the space provided
below and return to us one signed copy. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to quote and we
hope to further service your office in other future undertaking.
