3.0 SUBSTATION INSPECTION

The initial inspection of the substation room should be made by the Substation
Equipment Inspector as per the Substation Inspection Schedule and a report in the
Substation Room Inspection Report form should be prepared (Appendix–A1). The
Inspection Report should be given to the Substation Room Maintenance Segment
(SRMS) which shall make a further detailed qualitative and quantitative expert
inspection and fill out details in the same Report.

Based on this Inspection Report, a final decision regarding civil maintenance work
such as the repair work to be performed by the SRMS and/or by Contractor shall be
made. During inspection, all the safety precautions shall be observed by the concerned
inspectors as described in Section 1.3.
