God has raised up for us a mighty Saviour* Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit*

5 4 3 2 2 Benedictus 2
As the almighty promised by the lips of Holy people*
4 4 3 21 Blessed be Yahweh, the God of Israel,
Those who were the prophets from of old. Who has visited our people,
And has come to our rescue
A Saviour who would free us from our foes* And raised up for us a power for salvation
From the hands of all who hate us. In the house of David, God’s chosen servant.
So God’s love for our parents is fulfilled*
And the holy covenant remembered. Even as the Lord proclaimed,
By the mouth of the holy prophets from ancient times,
God swore to Abraham our father to grant us* That Yahweh would save us from our enemies
That free from fear, and saved from the hands of our foes. And from the hands of all who hate us.
We might serve the almighty in holiness and justice*
All the days of our life in the Lord’s presence. Thus Yahweh shows mercy to our ancestors,
And remembers the holy covenant,
As for you, little child* The oath sworn to our Father Abraham.
You shall be called a prophet of God, the Most High.
You shall go ahead of the Lord* That the Lord would grant us, free from fear,
To prepare the way before the Savior. To be delivered from the hands of our enemies,
To serve the Almighty in holiness and virtue
In God’s presence, all our days. To perform the mercy promised to our ancestors,
And to remember God’s Holy covenant.
And you, little child,
You shall be called prophet of the Most high, The covenant sworn to Abraham and Sarah, our parents,
For you will go before the Lord To grant that we,
To prepare the way for the Messiah. Being delivered from the hands of our enemies,
Might serve God without fear
To give Yahweh’s people knowledge of salvation In holiness and righteousness all the days of our lives.
Through the forgiveness of their sins,
This is the tender mercy of our God And you, child,
Who from on high will bring the rising sun to visit us. Will be called the prophet of the Most High,
For you will go before the Holy One to prepare the way.
To give light to those who live in darkness
And the shadow of death, To give knowledge of salvation to God’s people
To guide our feet into the way of peace. In the forgiveness of sins,
Through the tender mercy of our God
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit When the day shall dawn upon us from on high.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without
end. Amen. To give light to those who sit in darkness
And in the shadow of death
Benedictus 3 To guide our feet into the way of peace.

Blessed be the great and Holy one of Israel, Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit
Who has visited and redeemed our people, As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without
and raised up a horn of salvation for us end. Amen.
in this royal house.

As was spoken by the mouths Benedictus 4

Of the holy prophets from of old,
That we should be saved from our enemies, Praise to you, God of Israel!
And from the hand of all who hate us. Who has turned to us, saved us and set us free,
And has raised up a deliverer of victorious power As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without
From the house of David, your servant. end. Amen.

So you promised, age to age

You proclaimed by the lips of your holy prophets,
That you would deliver us from our enemies, Benedictus 5
Out of the hands of all who hate us,
That you would deal mercifully with our parents, Praise the Lord, the God of Israel,
Calling to mind your solemn covenant. For the Almighty has come to visit our people
And has redeemed us.
Such was the oath you swore to our Father, Abraham,
To rescue us from enemy hands, The Lord has given us a mighty Saviour
And grant us free from fear, From the royal line of David
To worship you with a holy worship, Just as was promised through the holy prophets long ago,
With uprightness of heart, Someone to save us from our enemies,
In your presence, our whole life long. From all who hate us.
And you, my child, The Holy One has been merciful to our ancestors,
You shall be called Prophet of the highest, Yes to Abraham himself,
For you will be God’s forerunner, By remembering the sacred promise to him,
To prepare the way and lead the people to salvation And by granting us the privilege
Through knowledge of the Most High, Of serving God fearlessly, freed from our enemies,
And by forgiveness of their sins. And by making us holy and acceptable,
Ready to stand in the Lord’s presence forever.
For in tender compassion of our God,
The morning sun from heaven will rise upon us, And you, my little child,
To shine on those who live in darkness, Shall be called the prophet of the glorious God,
Under the cloud of death, For you will prepare the way for the messiah.
And guide our feet into the way of peace. You will tell God’people how to find salvation
Through forgiveness of their sins.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit
And this will be because the mercy
Of our God is very tender, In holiness and righteousness all our days.
And heavens’s dawn is about to break upon us,
To give light to those who sit in darkness And you, child
And death’s shadow, Shall be called the prophet of the Most High,
And to guide us to the path of peace. For you will walk before the Lord
To prepare the ways,
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit In order to give the knowledge of salvation to God’s people,
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without Together with forgiveness of their sins,
end. Amen. Through the mercy of our God,
In which the dawn from on high
Has graciously visited us.
Benedictus 6
To shine upon those who sit in darkness
Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, And in the shadow of death,
Because the Almigthy has graciously visited our people And to direct our feet in the way of peace.
And brought deliverance for us.

Through the mouth of the prophets. Benedictus 7

Even deliverance from our enemies Blessed be the Lord the God of Israel!

In that the Holy One has shown mercy to us Who has come to us in order
As the Lord did to our fathers and has remembered To bring us to the hights
The holy covenant, And to free us from all that ties us down.
The pledge which was given to Abraham our father.

Of all great names yours is the best, For you have looked upon your humble servant,

Because my God has done great things for me,

You scatter those who have proud hearts. To all who live in rev’rence with you.
You cast the mighty from their thrones and raises those of Grace is your strength but you unmask all pride
low degree, And strip us bare of our self-conceit.
You feed the hungry as your own, 4. Dethroning those who hold authority,
The rich depart in poverty. The poor and humble people you make great.
You give in abundance to the hungry,
