2. C. Which of the following you have given much consideration in your teaching?Local setting:
values, tradition, culture. Why?

Here in Singapore, they preferred to use the local context of teaching. They believe that children can
understand easily when the teacher teaches them based on the local context of teaching.

3. Abroad. The pay. Working abroad is not easy because you will be far away from your family. But
because of the teacher’s salary abroad is much higher compare to the salary of the teachers in the
Philippines. So that is one of the reasons why I choose to work abroad.

4. How do you consider yourself as a teacher?

Global. As a global teacher, you need to incorporate various global issues into their curriculum including
multiculturalism, economic, environmental and social issues. It is important to learn about other
cultures to gain a deeper understanding of how to approach global issues and communicate more
effectively.

1. Proficient – proficiency does not only mean mastering and understanding the lessons but
understanding the way different students absorb the lessons.

2. Local setting values tradition culture - since Im teaching elementary students, it is their
foundation to understand the values and culture to develop love for family, community, and
country at an early age.

3. I’m teaching in a barangay elementary school. Seeing young students learn how to read and
write is the most gratifying experience of a teacher.

4. Local. Teaching elementary students the basics and foundation in life is a must. Their young
minds shouldn’t be loaded and mixed up with too much global consciousness to effectively learn
the foundation of life.
Based on the information we get every teachers has its own reason. The global changes of the teachers
perspective varies on how they deliver their learnings to their students. Teacher nowadays was most
preferred course you know why? Mostly college students thinks because of the pay but others think was
becoming a teacher is like a lifelong learning process. Even though you are a teacher you experience
learning new things amidst of teaching young students.

Based on the interview we get in question no. 1 they have different teaching proficiency. As we can see
based on the teaching experience the local teacher has high number of years compare to the working
abroad. And I observe that the longer the number of years you teach the more knowledgeable you are
in terms of handling students learning capabilities,skils and behaviors. Honestly experienced teacher
was the best in teaching lessons because they are more proficient than new ones.

Most teachers prefer local settings that values, traditions and culture because they believed that
students should learn the basics of the fundamentals before leaving their early stage of their childhood.
Teaching students with values will raised them to become respectful.

Teacher abroad most of them was after of the pay and experiences but in local settings they prefer to
have the children to care of properly because they believed that it ks the most gratifying feelings they
have.

Since the teacher abroad consider herself as a global it means she is competent enough to teach the
children through modernization of the world in which she is flexible enough for every situation changes
in the country they teach. As we all know Singapore is not they same as Philippines but education in
Singapore was strict. It has a high standards than in us here. Then I believe that the power of education
can lead us to the right path of reaching our goals whatever it is. And for the Local, I believe that
traditional teaching is her way of teaching students because living in the world of technology when you
are born in before this generation you cannot consider yourself as globally competent because you are
not flexible enough to adjust the ways of teaching students through interesting ones so that they can
absorb easily.
