“HOW GLOBALIZED IS
YOUR HOME?”
LOCALLY MANUFACTURED (PH MADE) FOREIGN BRANDS OR IMPORTED

“Fresh” Sun Mist & Water Drop Cream

Wear Kapampangan Shirt (Pampanga)
(Korea)
Baguio Souvenirs (Baguio) Nature Republic (Korea)

Hundred Islands Souvenir (Pangasinan) Nike Air Jordan (US)

Squad Cosmetics (QC Manila) Victoria Secret Perfume (US)

All of the products that were listed are all my possessions but they came from
different places and manufactured by different people. The “wear kapampangan
shirt” is a brand shirt located in Pampanga Philippines. It is manufactured and
made by a Kapampangan. Similarly, the souvenirs that were mentioned were
solely made by our fellow Filipinos in the areas that were mentioned which were
Baguio and Pangasinan for souvenirs purposes only.

On the other hand, Korea is a well-known country for different skincare products
it produces that claims to give glow to our faces and skin. That’s why most of my
skincare products at home were made in Korea. Furthermore, in terms of prices,
shoes and victoria secret perfumes are way cheaper abroad based on my
experience. Maybe because of the dollar exchange rate here in our country.

REFLECTION:

In the process of doing this activity, I’ve realized that globalization helps us to
have more access with different products worldwide. Indeed, globalization
connects us with other countries by the use of technology or transportation.
Through this I was able to acquire the things that were made and manufactured
by foreign nations. However, we should keep in mind that as we patronize other’s
country’s products, we must also support the local brands in our country. Aside
from having a cheaper price, locally made products are authentic and are
passionately made.
