Health and Technology

Technology has a large role on the social construction of health and illness in the age of

technology. In a world of having technology we are able to call and e-mail places for health care

for when we need it. With being able to use technology in health care it can be easier to get the

health care that we need during live. With using technology, we can get health care without even

living are own home to get it. With not having to go into a health care place to receive care we

are able to save money. [ CITATION WYE \l 1033 ] With the use of technology, we are able to

get are health care records on our own phones. With being able to get our records like this we are

able to get access to are records without leaving our home or even making a phone call.

health care with just a touch of a button.

There is a good amount of down fall when it comes to using technology in health care.

There are many people all around us that cannot use technology, because they don’t have any

technology to use both in the US and Globally. There are many people that don’t have phones to

get to online health care mostly in lower class places. Not many phone places offer lower cost or

free phone use plans which makes it hard to use technology for health care. Technology like

phones do not work forever and it’s not cheap to repair or buy new or used. With all of that being

said there’s a good chance that technology will lead to less equity in health care for lower class

people both in the US and Globally. Higher class people are going to have high equity when it

comes to technology in health care since they have the money to just buy technology. If we want

to see high equity for lower class people to get health care with technology, we need to see more

low cost and free plans. These plans need to have a good amount of minutes to use to make

phone calls to health care places. We also need to find ways to provide technology to lower class

people to use health care with technology. These are the only way that we are going to see high

equity for everyone when it comes to using technology in health care. [ CITATION Amy \l
