Thank you for agreeing to participate in this survey. The purpose of


administering this questionnaire is to ascertain the uses of English as a tool for
communication.
It should take no more than 15 minutes to complete the questionnaire – the questions
can be answered by choosing the answer from the box below.

The questionnaires below are from the study of Rui M. Schroeder entitled, “The
Development and Validation of the Academic Spoken English Strategies Survey (ASESS)
for Non-native English Speaking Graduate Students”, Pamela Cindy Tumuyu with the
subject, “Learner Who Wants to Live (or already live) in an English Speaking Culture”,
and Anglesa Alemanya in the topic of “Questionnaire About The Learning of English.”
