of solar energy such as high cost and
availability of sunlight during daytime only.
(IV) So, the risk of damage to the
environment is reduced. (V) Solar energy
also does not require any fuel to produce
electricity and thus avoids the problem of
transportation of fuel or storage of
radioactive waste.

its metallic core, which is much denser

makes for a very powerful magnet.

unremarkable invention, but their use has
offered mankind a glimpse of everything
from distant stars and galaxies to the
minute workings of living cells. (II) Lenses
first came into use in the 13th century as
an aid for the weak-sighted, and the first
microscopes and telescopes followed in
the late 16th and early 17th centuries. (III)
Figures like Robert Hook would go on to
use microscopes in the early observation
of cells and other particles, while Galileo
and Kepler employed the telescope to

depends upon where it is placed between

ground it is usually in the form of an
invisible gas called water vapour. (II) When
warm air rises, it expands and cools. (III)
Cool air can't hold as much water vapour
as warm air, so some of the vapour
condenses onto tiny pieces of dust that are
floating in the air and forms a tiny droplet
around each dust particle. (IV) When
billions of these droplets come together
they become a visible cloud. (V) Even so,
clouds are classified into four basic
categories, depending largely on the
height of their bases above the ground.
