 Japanese Language Classes offered by the Education Center for Japanese Language and Culture 2

(2) Japanese Language Support Classes not included in the
Regular Curriculum Researcher × ○

Offering Introduction I/II, Intermediate I/II and Advanced

and Business Japanese classes, it is designed for applicants
to learn four skills (conversation, listening comprehension,
reading, writing) in one class.
These classes are not credited.

※Research students who have been granted permission by their academic advisor
to take (1)Japanese classes in the regular curriculum and have submitted an
application through their graduate school or faculty’s office to the ILAS can attend
the classes of (1). Please consult your academic advisor before the semester
begins and make sure that your graduate school/faculty’s office has submitted the
required documents to the ILAS.
Once you have completed the application process for auditing, an Auditing
Student(Japanese) number will be issued. At the end of September, graduate
school/faculty’s office will provide you with an “Auditing Student(Japanese)
Card”.

An “Exemption ID” has been sent to qualified

students on August 27, 2019 by e-mail.
Any exemption ID distributed before the date
above is invalid.

Make sure all data are correct and click “Confirm” to

conclude the STEP1.
You will receive an auto mail right after you completed
the STEP1.

The auto mail includes a four digit-registration number
that is required to take the placement test.

※The STEP1 might not be completed successfully

when you did not receive the auto mail.

The Placement Test is administered through the
web-based learning management system called “PandA".
A message titled “PandA Site Notification” will be sent to
the e-mail account registered on STEP1.
A manual attached to the message explains how to
activate PandA account and start the test.
