The Department of Economics and Business Administration at Goethe University Frankfurt is one of the largest in
Germany with 40 professors and 200 research fellows. The faculty places a strong emphasis on the practical
application of its research and connections with business. Thus, many faculty members also act as consultants to financial
institutions, industry and government, and hold directorships at a range of organizations. The close ties are also reflected
in the fact that many companies have decided to endow chairs. In addition, renowned business leaders support the

SCHOLARSHIP WHAT YOU CAN BE
In cooperation with the Goethe-Institut, Goethe Business School (GBS) offers scholarships that cover up to half of tuition
for a number of selected, highly-talented and ambitious applicants who wish to study in the Goethe Full-Time MBA
program. To qualify, applicants must secure a scholarship letter from the Goethe-Institut. Scholarship requirements
and the application process are further explained below.

The Goethe MBA targets high-potential young professionals aspiring to lead in a global world. Graduates will have a
very high probability of job placement in Germany/Europe upon successful completion of the Goethe MBA. They will
receive support from Career Services, which serves is an interface between students and firms hosting recruitment
days, events, internships, and other networking opportunities.

APPLICATION PROCESS PROGRAM COSTS

To be considered for a Goethe-Institut Scholarship,
applicants must submit the following documents:
- Resume
- Copies of academic transcripts
- GMAT official score report
- Goethe-Institut scholarship letter
- One-page essay showing financial need and
academic and professional achievement
Scholarship decisions will be communicated within one
week of submission. Successful scholarship applicants
will then be invited to complete the online Goethe MBA
application and admission process by:
Regular program tuition (2009 intake) € 18,000
Less tuition discount (up to 15%)* € 2,700
Less scholarship (up to € 10,000) € 10,000
Total tuition due € 5,300
Goethe-Institut Scholarship awards cover the cost of
German language courses up to the A1-level at Goethe-
Institut.
For budgeting purposes, the estimated monthly living
expenses for Frankfurt (meals, and local travel) are € 550.

- scheduling a personal admissions interview (housing, meals, and local travel) are € 1,500 plus airfare.

After evaluation of the complete application package, the
admissions committee issues a final admission decision
to the applicant, who can then accept or decline the offer
of admission.
Students also have the opportunity to offset living
expenses (circa € 5,000) with internship remuneration.
