Cooltech equipment consists of 3 large blocks: an electronic block - for control of all inputs and
outputs of the equipment, a refrigeration block – for cooling the hot part of the peltiers and a
vacuum block - for stopping blood circulation in the treated area, avoiding heating the area for
better results. Each of these blocks is described in more details below.

Electronics:

The electronic block consists of 2 CPUs: the Main and TFT control board.

Main CPU TFT control board

Main CPU is located inside the electic cabinet of the equipment (on the left side, viewed from the
front), while TFT control board is mounted underneath the display.

TFT control board is responsible for displaying the necessary images on the screen, analyzing
and informing the Main CPU, when the user enters any data and commands on TFT.

All images, graphics and active zones for the screen are stored on a microSD inserted in TFT
control board.
This memory card should have maximum capacity of 2GB and format to FAT32 clouster 4096.
On the microSD are stored only 3 '.ars' files: PrjAreas.ars, RrjIcons.ars and PrjImages.ars. If exist
other files, may appear an error while the software is being loaded.

Main CPU is responsible for controlling temperature, vacuum and refrigeration of each applicator,
reading the information from all inputs (sensors, switches, power supplies, resistors ect.) and
activating any of outputs (pumps, peltiers, electrovalves ect.) in different moments and also
sending the relevant feedback to the screen.

The following figure shows all cables connection to Main CPU

1.1.1. Refrigeration system

1.1.2. Vacuum system
General considerations for cleaning and maintenance:
- For safety reasons, before cleaning the equipment, it is recommended to disconnect the
power cord from power socket.
- For methacrylate surfaces, pay great attention in the use of cleaning products. If this
material comes in contact with substances such as alcohol, solvents, ammonia or other
aggressive products (thinners, acetone ...), it reacts forming "cracks", which are not visible
immediately but in the next days.
- To clean this material, it is recommended to use specific methacrylate products such as
"Vetril" or use a well squeezed cloth or soft paper after being soaked in water with diluted neutral
soap.
- It is recommended to clean and sanitize the applicators of the equipment after each
treatment. To do this, remove the product residues (gel) deposited in the applicator, clean and
disinfect the applicator before using again. Do not use products containing alcohol.
- For outside cleaning of the casing, dry thoroughly using synthetic fabrics before starting a
new treatment.
- Do not immerse the applicator in any liquid

1.2.1 - External tanks Cleaning

To clean external tanks, the tubes connecting each tank to the equipment must be disconnected.
Press the grey clips of the connectors and pull them out, in this way the tank will be totally
independent from the equipment.
Once the connectors have been removed, take the tank out of its holder carefully. To make
complete cleaning, disconnect the air filter from the tank and the hose.

Remove the cap from the tank and wash both parts with plenty of water.

Then close the tank again, install the filter (explained later), put it back inside its holder and
connect the tubes in their corresponding inputs. Make sure that it is properly placed in the holder
and that the tubes are not bent. The position of the connectors is indicated with colors (only on
some models). Checked carefully that the tank is well closed, otherwise the equipment will not
operate correctly and will not reach the desired vacuum.

1.2.2 - Air filter cleaning (ventilation)

At the bottom of the equipment there is an air filter to prevent entering dust iside the unit. To
remove the filter, just pull it. This filter should be cleaned once every month.
To clean it, use a vacuum cleaner or shake it. The filter should be changed once a year. To
supply these filters, contact the manufacturer.

Replacement of antibacterial vapor filter

When the filter is dirty and the suction power is insufficient in its corresponding applicator,
proceed to replace it.
The bacterial filter is connected to two tubes, one goes from the filter to the equipment
connector, the other from the filter to the tank. Replace the filter by disconnecting the pipes by
pulling slightly and progressively. Connect the new filter in the same position as the old one,
matching the color band of the tube connected to the equipment with the color band incorporated
on the filter.

1.2.3 - Applicator internal cleaning

It is necessary to perform periodically a cleaning of the applicators, because of the gel that is
going inside and clogging the hose during the treatments.
This proplem leads to a progressive loss of the suction capacity of the applicator, reaching the
point that the hand piece stops sucking comletely (totally obstructed line).
The periodicity of cleaning is related to the number of treatments and the amount of gel that is
used.
Important: Before start cleaning, disconnect the equipment from the power socket.
To clean an applicator, disconnect the tube in the back of the equipment that has a red color
band, connecting the tank with the machine.
Important: Perform the operation with the tank corresponding to the applicator.
Press the grey clip of the female connector to disconnect the tube and then pull slightly and
progressively from the tank.
During the cleaning process, it is recommended to keep the applicator on higher position so that
the liquid injected with the cleaning tool supplied with the equipment, not return.
Then insert the end of the cannula tube into the internal input of the applicator and inject the
distilled water contained in the cannula. Remove the tube from the hole. Fill the cannula with air
and inject it in the same way in order to clean thicker gel residues.
Repeat these operations (first distilled water and then air) until flows clean water on the back of
the equipment.
Important: Be careful during the cleaning process not to overfill the tank on the back of the
machine, corresponding to the applicator being cleaned, otherwise will damage the paper filter.
Always empty before filling.
At the end of the cleaning, perform several more operations with air only, to blow out any water
left in the hose.
Then empty and clean the tank. To do this, remove the cap and wash out all the gel residues.
Replace the cover.
The tank should be closed properly: carefully tighten all tank clips (otherwise will be observed
vacuum drops during the treatment).
Once the applicator or applicators have been cleaned, as well as the tank, proceed to reconnect
the tanks, as explained in section 2 of the equipment installation. Remember that tanks have a
single connecting position. Take into account that the color band of tank and equipment match
and the paper filter is on the right of the reservoir.

Codes, enabling access to different functions, specific settings and parameters of the equipment, that
could be monitored and modified. To do this enter the code screen, then enter the relevant code and
press 'Enter'.

appears at the bottom of the screen the following text:
7. Click on the "Program" button in the EEPROM section to program the information that was
previously saved:

8. To ensure that the programming process in the section "EEPROM" has gone correctly, check if
appears at the bottom of the screen the following text:

These are the alarms that appear during a treatment as animated image on the screen indicating the
type of fault. Some can stop the treatment and others are only a warning.

In below are described the different screen alarms:

3.1.1 - Low coolant level

This image appears when the coolant level in the tank is low. The treatment process will stop
otherwise could damage the peltiers inside the applicators.
To solve the problem, proceed with filling the cooling system with antifreeze of 10-20%, follow the
process explained in installation and maintenance section.
In case of filling the equipment and the error persists, check the operation of the tank level sensor.
With full tank, measure continuity on the wire marked 0 (tank level sensor) and check that the dry
contact is closed.

Level sensor connector

If the contact does not close, try to measure again while moving the floater state downwards. If in this
case the contact closes, change floater position upside down. On the contrary, if it does not close,
proceed with replacement of the deposit tank.
In case of correct operation of the level sensor, proceed to replace Main CPU.

3.1.2 - High or low pressure hydraulic circuit

This alarm indicates excess pressure or too low value in the hydraulic circuit for proper operation.
This error normally `is related to the hydraulic circuit pump and appears during a treatment process.
If the unit beeps intermittently before the alert appears, it indicates that there is excess pressure in
the circuit due to possible obstruction of one of the applicators. If the alarm appears without previous
beeps indicates that there is no pressure in the circuit and the pump is not working.
To check these values and identify the problem in SW versions equal or higher than xx.15, it is
necessary to access to code screen, enter the code 0004 and press the light icon (marked on the
image in red). This code drives the pump and the current pressure value appears in the display.
On the other hand, if on the machine is installed SW versions olded than xx.15, the pressure value of
the pump could be checked directly on the treatment screen.

Option 1 - Versions higher or equal to xx.15:

Option 2 - Older or equal to xx.13 versions:

200

150

100

50

On the last diagram both horizontal lines are the thresholds of the high pressure alarm when 2
connected applicators (red color value 152) and the value for 1 connected applicator (green color
value 172). Depending on the measured value and depending on whether one applicator or two
connected are connected, can be determined if the pump is faulty in the case of a low value and a
obstruction in the circuit when the value is high.

Low pressure value:

If the code 0004 is entered on the code display and the pump does not start, check on the terminals
of connector J if is applied 24V. If yes, replace the pump. In case of no 24V, proceed to change the
CPU.

High pressure value:

Note: If this fault appears when upgrading from fixed to removable hand pieces, make sure that the
3 resistances of the hydraulic pump's current control are well soldered (bottom image):
Follow the procedure and test the hand pieces separately to find out which one has the obstruction.
Compare the pressure value and if one of them has a value, much higher than the other, replace the
applicator. If both have high values, proceed to check the equipment with other hand pieces for a
possible obstruction in the equipment hydraulic circuit. To do this (with the new applicators
connected) check visibly the flow rate in the filter and in case that there is no flow the obstruction
could be in the radiator. Make a bypass of the radiator and monitor if the flow in the filter recovers. If
so, change the radiator.
If after doing the radiator bypass, the flow is still missing, replace the hydraulic pump.
On the other hand, when flow rate is correct and still have problems with different hand pieces that
connected to other equipment are working well, proceed with replacing the CPU, obviously has
problem in the current sensor circuit.

3.1.3 - Emergency stop actived

Appears only on the main screen, indicating that during the treatment the emergency button has been
pressed.
If during a treatment process the emergency stop is pressed, the equipment is being restarted,
stopping the treatment, but maintaining the suction to avoid the applicator fall.
Once pressed, to release the button, turn it in direction indicated by the arrows. If after having done
the previous step and the warning image still remain on the display, check the internal wiring and
connectors. The cable to be checked is marked with number 8. Measure with a multimeter if with
released button there is continuity (NC) and pressing changes the state to open (NO). In case of no
switching of state, proceed to replace the push-button assembly.
If the button works correctly, replace the CPU.
3.1.4 - High or very low equipment temperature warning

When this image appears, it is a warning only and not for treatment. Clicking on it, will disappear and
the normally treatment can be continued.
When the high temperature warning appears, it indicates that the equipment is not working in the
optimum conditions to reach the set temperatures of the applicators. And if it occurs for lower
temperatures it is possible that the equipment could have not enought cooling liquid.
If this error occurs continuously, check and measure with the multimeter the value of the internal
temperature sensor at the terminals of the connector. The cable is marked with the number 21 (white
cables).

Internal temperature sensor connection to Main CPU

At 25ºC should give a value close to 10Kohm, if it is correct and the error persists, proceed to replace
Main CPU. When performing the measurement, no value is obtained, replace the temperature
sensor.
3.1.5 - Vacuum circuit cleaning reminder

Vacuum circuit cleaning warning, appears every 100 treatments and is a reminder only. If turn on the
machine or return to home screen 100 times, this reminder will reappear.
The equipment does not have any device to know that the cleaning has been carried out, so it
is not recommended to reset the warning only.

Note: Once at least a 5 minute treatment is performed, the warning will disappear.

3.1.6 - Applicator disconnected

This alert can appear on both the treatment and main screen, when the accessory recognition system
stops reading that the handle is connected.
This error occurs normally if the applicator is not well connected, so to ensure a good contact check
that the metal bar is totally locking the front connector. If it is closed properly and the alert reappear
intermittently, access the code screen and check if the reading value is stable. Enter the code 65001
for the applicator 1 and the 65002 for the applicator 2. Move the applicator hose and if the value is
not stable proceed to repair the applicator`s connector as it might have a false contact.

Different resistance value are installed, depending on the type of applicator:

Applicator type Resistance value
Straight
Thight 0R
Curved
Oval 7,68Kohm
Tiny 4,22Kohm
Double 6,04Kohm

In case of having intermittent values, resolder or replace the resistor and recheck if the values are
stable.

3.1.7 - Applicator temperature error

Problem in some temperature sensor or difference in temperature between the plates of a hand
piece. The treatment will be cancelled in case of having two faulty sensors in the same applicator, or
continue working if it is only one.
Whichever of this errors appears, it is recommended to replace the handpiece, although it is still
working.
There are 5 possible temperature reasons for this alarm, to find it out, it is necessary to access the
code screen, enter 123789 and press enter. The last 6 temperature alarms will appear, starting with
the newest (right) and the oldest (left). Each number has the following meaning:
0 : No alarm
1 : NTC sensor short circuit
2 : NTC sensor open circuit
3 : Temperature difference higher than 5°C between metal plates of applicator 1
4 : Temperature value is more than 3°C lower than setpoint
5 : Temperature difference higher than 5°C between metal plates of applicator 2

The cause for errors 1, 2 and 4, most probably is in the applicator`s head. To check the temperatures
of the applicators in real time it is necessary to start a treatment. Repeat the same procedure like
checking the hydraulic circuit pressure, press and hold the current vacuum of the applicator 2
(marked in red on the image) on treatment screen.

Check temperature value on each of the applicator plates

Keeping pressed the current vacuum square (marked in red) of applicator 2, the active applicators will
display the current vacuum value (marked in yellow and red) of each of the plates. The value will vary
every 2 seconds showing the temeperature measured by each sensor (one per a plate)

Format of the displayed numbers

The three numbers that appear on the screen have different meanings, for temperatures above 0°C -
3 digits with one decima. And below 0°C the first digit is always 9, indicating the symbol “-”.
Interpretation of the temperatura values:
Valor en visor Valor temperatura
123 12.3 °C
025 2.5 °C
006 0.6 °C
906 -0.6 °C
954 -5.4 °C

If after several seconds when starting a cycle and the temperature value has not dropped below 32 °
C, any of the sensors might be in short circuit (Error 1 from temperatura alarm register). On the other
hand, if is displayed a negative value immediately after starting a treatment, it indicates that any of the
sensors or both of them are in open cicuit (error 2). Error 4 will appear when trying to reach the set
temperature, but any of the sensors or both measurements do not decrease.
3.1.8 - Applicator programmed vacuum not reached

The suction error appears when the equipment has not been able to reach the set vacuum for a
minute and a half (90s) and stops the treatment. This type of error is mostly related to the placing of
the applicator on the body.

The possible causes for this error could be:

- Head position and head status
- Deposit tanks in the back
- Faulty pump
- Leakage in the vacuum circuit

Head position and head status

In the great majority of cases this failure is due to the incorrect placement of the head on the body or
using improper type of applicator for the relevant zone.
Perform a visual inspection of the head both inside and outside, checking that there are no cracks
that could cause the suction loss.

In order to check if the failure due to a positioning or equipment problem, use a special test tool
(silicone pad). If not available use the methods explained in below. If the result is correct repeat the
process again with a patient.

Head tested using a silicone pad

If the tool is not available there are 2 other options, one is to use a balloon to simulate the body and
the other is to block with the finger the suction duct of the hand piece.

Using the balloon method we would get the same results as with the silicone pad. So if the equipment
reaches the set vacuum the fault is the placing on the body.
On the other hand, if you block with your finger, whole circuit is tested except for the cavity of the
head. In this case, check the cavity that has no defects and that the metal plates are well sealed. In
case of doubt contact the technical assistance.
In case that the vacuum loss still persists, proceed to the next verification step.

Rear vacuum deposit tanks

If the previous test has failed using the above described methods and there are no damages both
internal and external parts of the head, check the external deposit tanks of the equipment.
In case of having the problem in only one of the applicators, first check if the tank is completely
closed and its tubes are properly connected to the machine. If the deposit tank is in perfect condition
and the problem only appears in one of the lines, exchange the deposits. If the fault changes to the
other line, obviously the leak is caused by the tank.
To solve this problem replace the deposit. A temporary solution to operate the equipment, while
receiving the new tank (in case do not have it in stock) is a simple bridge shown below.

It is possible to remove the tubes a little hardly.

Disconnect pipes from the tank

Connect the 2 tubes with the filter in the center

Reconnect the “bridge” to the machine

Important: When connecting the bridge to the equipment, make sure that the tubes are not
bent, otherwise the suction in the hand piece would be blocked.
In case both deposit tanks are in good condition and the problem persists proceed to the next check.

Reduced pump suction force.

If following previous steps have not solved the problem we may possibly, might be caused by a
failure in the suction pump.
In case that the fault is in only one applicator and the other one works correctly, proceed to replace
the CPU.
On the contrary, if the problem occurs in both channels, have to l perform several more checks.
Perform a test of the equipment using the silicone pad or a balloon presetting a vacuum less
than the programmed in the previous treatment, ie if had programmed 240 mbar, change to
200 mbar and check if it will reach the setpoint.
If it reaches 200 mbar, the test indicates that the pump does not have enough force for higher
vacuums, therefore proceed to replace the pump.

Vacuum Circuit Failure

If it is not possible to achieve values higher than 200 mBar, could be also caused by the solenoid
valves (EV3 and EV4). In order to check them try to block the hose and monitor if the vacuum is
achieved. If yes, proceed with the replacement of solenoid valves EV3 and Ev4.
Electrovalves circuit identification

Block this tube

To the pump input are connected 2 tubes, one goes to EV1 and 2 and the other one to EV3 and 4.
Make the test, bending the tube that goes towards EV 3 and 4 as shown in the image.
If after blocking the tube the vacuum loss persists, proceed replacing the CPU, since possibly the
vacuum sensor is faulty.
3.2.1 - The equipment does not turn on

If after pressing the power button the equipment does not start (loading software and beeping) and
the light indicator also does not light up, check first the power cable. If the power cord is correct and
plugged into the wall power socket which has working voltage of 100 to 240V, then check the fuses of
the equipment. There are 2 fuses of 10A each, type T10AH250V, measure them using a multimeter if
needed, replace them with the same type.
In case both fuses are in good condition, proceed to open the equipment and check if in the main
power supply SP-24 150W has 100-240V applied to the input terminals. If not check the wiring of
100- 240v.

Power supply SP-24 150W (marked in yellow)

If the voltage at the input is correct, but at the output is missing, disconnect the power cable from the
CPU to make sure that there is no bad component on the board causing the power supply to trigger
its protection. If the output 24V is missing again, proceed replacing the power supply.
If on the other hand, removing the power cable 24V reappears at the output, proceed to replace the
CPU.
In order to change the power supply, disconnect first the cables and remove the 4 screws in the back,
holding it to the intermediate chassis.
Power supply mounting screws

For better access to the screws

For better access to the screws of the sources, it is recommended to remove the hydraulic deposit tank to
facilitate the operation. Install the new power supply and reconnect the cables.

General power supply connection SP-150-24V

3.2.2 - Accessories not recognized

When accessing to the pre-treatment screen, the following image appears in any of the channels:

Applicator not connected or resistance value not correct

Indicates either that there is no applicator connected or that the measured resistance value is not
correct. Check first if the applicator is properly connected (the metal bar is locking completely the
front connector). The next step, in case the problem persists, is to check the resistance value the
equipment is reading.
To do this, access the code screen and type codes 65001 for applicator 1 and 65002 for applicator 2.
The corresponding values for each type of applicators are as shown in below. Any other value out of
these ranges, the equipment will interpret it as that there is no accessory connected.

Applicator type Resistance value Machine accepting range

Straight
Tight 0R 0-40
.Curved
Oval 7,68Kohm 592-645
Tiny 4,22Kohm 133-181
Double 6,04Kohm 440-492
No applicator - 1023-1024

In case of values 1023-1024, it is recommended to test the same applicator on the other channel to
exclude possible failure of the applicator. If the value is still the same check the recognition wiring
connected to the Main CPU (marked in red on the image).
Applicator recognition connector

If the wiring is OK and measuring with a multimeter (resistance mode) resistance value is correct
according to the table, proceed to replace the CPU.
3.2.3 - Screen does not respond

When pressing the touchscreen and it does not respond, to solve this problem, perform first a screen
calibration.
If the display has a protective plastic it is better to remove it and carry out the process without it. The
plastic is only to protect the screen during the manufacture process of the equipment.
To start the calibration process, turn the device off and presswith a finger in the center of the screen.
Keeping pressed switch on the machine and wait until the next image appears.

Calibration start screen

Click on the “plus” signs that appear on the screen, using a pencil or some Sharp stick for higher
accuracy in terms of calibration.

First step (upper left corner) Second step (center) Third step (lower right corner)

3 “plus” signs will appear, first in the upper left corner, in the center and in the bottom right corner.
Once finished, the software will be loaded. Repeat the procedure if the display does not respond well.
If the problem still persists, replace the display block.
Remove the 4 screws fastening the display chassis to the front cover

Note: Be careful when removing the screws as there are 4 spacer washers between display
chassis and front cover.

3.2.5 - Treatment screen not allowed

When the equipment is switched on and on the main screen the play button is displayed in grey and
does not respond to the pressing, this is because the rental period has expired. It may happen also if
occured an error during the firmware update or programming of the equipment.

Equipo bloqueado

In order to proceed with the renewal of the rent it is necessary to check two parameters. One is the
device list number, which is written on the first line in the information screen.
Information screen

The list number should be different than 255255255 and in case of this number, it is necessary to
reprogram the equipment.
If the number that appears is correct, provide the list of codes (in case is not available, contact
Technical Assistance). In the list will find a code for renewal the rent. Then access to code screen
and remember the position number from list number displayed.

Code number from the list

Then enter one of the 2 codes to renew the rental period. Press enter, the light will turn to green and
instead of 2 will appear 3, which is the next position in the list.
In the case of reaching the last position in the list 50, it will be necessary to install a new code list. On
the contrary, if you want to release the equipment, it will be enough to enter the master code,
provided in the same list.
Once entered the master code in code screen will appear the following:

To release the equipment, simply press the open padlock button (marked in red) and then the home
button to return to the main screen.

3.2.6 - Set temperature not reached

For this type of fault several factors could cause it. Cooltech equipment uses Peltier elements to
generate the cold. Applying the proper voltage and polarity, one side of the element gets cold, but the
other one warm. In order to have a continuous low temperature effect, it is very important to cool
down forcedly the warm side, using liquid cooling system .

Peltier element

In the next steps are described the possible causes and solutions of the problem.

- Room temperature:

Fot the normal operation of the device the room temperatura have to be maintained not
higher than 28°C.

- Equipment not close to a wall.

The equipment must be positioned about 50 cm from the wall. If it is too narrow, the hot
air, expelled by the fans re-enters the equipment causing a malfunction of the cooling
system.
- Liquid coolant level.

If the equipment`s coolant level is not low enough for the warning to appear, it also can
be a reason for unsufficient cooling performance. In this case fill up the deposit tank. If
the problem persists continue to the next step.

- Radiator fans.

Check that the air flows through both radiator parts in the right direction, using your hand
or a sheet of paper. It should flow from inside to outside in the back of the equipment.

Air Flow through the radiator

In case that any of the 2 fans does not work, proceed to replace it. To do this, remove the
4 screws that hold it to the radiator as shown in the picture.

Screw fastening the fans to radiator

Once the screws have been removed, disconnect electrically the fan or fans from Main
board, cut the cable and solder the new one, respecting the polarity.

Fans on radiator Position on the CPU

IMPORTANT! Check the position of the fans.
Correct position of the fan

Reconnect the fan to the Main board and check the air flow direction.

- Dusty radiator.

In case the fans work correctly, but the air flow is not enough, it is possible that the
radiator externally is obstructed by dust, blocking the passage of air. To solve the
problem open the equipment and clean the radiator either with compressed air or remove
both fans for better Access and use a vacuum cleaner.

- Faulty applicator.

Check the real time temperatures of each plate (explained in previous chart). If the
values are not similar could be possible that some of the peltier elements is faulty and
can not reach the set temperature. Proceed replacing the applicator.

3.2.7 - Applicator temperature does not decrease

In case that one of the hand pieces does not reach the programmed temperature, but the other one
does a few minutes after start, exchange the applicators to determine if the fault is in the applicator or
in the channel. If the problem persists in the same hand piece proceed to replace it, but in case is in
same channel check the operation of the power source.
Open the equipment`s electic cabinet and measure the output voltage of the power source, supplying
the faulty applicator (SPV-300W-12V).
Applicators power supplys

The expected value should be about 11V, but if it is 0V, check the source control cable, if it is
connected properly.

If the connection is correct, check also the same cable if is properly connected to Main board, as
follows: power supply for applicator 1 to connector 17 and power supply for applicator 2 to connector
16.
Cable positiosn on the CPU

Move the control cable of the source that does not work to make sure it is not a cable fault, and if the
source voltage reappear, replace the control cable. On the contrary, if the failure persists, exchange
the connectors 17 and 16 to rule out a possible CPU problem.
If after exchanging the cables, the source that did not work begin functioning, change the CPU, but
on the contrary, if the problem persists proceed to replace the power supply.
To do this, disconnect the cables from the source and remove the 4 screws from the rear that hold it
to the intermediate chassis.
Power supply screws

For better access to the screws

For better access to the screws of the power sources, it is recommended to remove the hydraulic
deposit tank to facilitate the operation. Install the new power supply and reconnect the cables.

3.2.8 - Equipment does not decrease below 0 ° C

When configuring a treatment the temperatures can not be lowered below 0°C, it is because during
equipment update either the EEPROM was not programmed or or was programmed with an unused
list.
To check this access the information screen and compare the list number.
Information screen
The list number must be different than 255255255 but in case it is the same will appears a program
error. To solve the problem it is necessary to reprogram the equipment. If the list file is not available,
contact Technical assistance.
If the number that appears is correct, find in the code list a reserved number (in case is not available,
contact Technical Assistance) and enter it in the codes screen.

Code screen Code list

Once the reserved code is entered the light will turn green and the machine will emit 4 long beeps,
identifying that the code is correct.
IMPORTANT! Each code list is UNIQUE, belonging only to one equipment and can not be applied to
another.

3.2.9 - Equipment does not suck

If at the beginning of a treatment the equipment reaches the programmed vacuum even when the
hand piece is not placed on a body, it is because there is an obstruction in suction circuit.
The first step in order to solve the problema, is to check that no hose is bent in the rear part.
Rear tanks hoses revision

Next step, in case the hoses are OK, is to check the filters above the tanks are not wet. These kind of
filters when get in contact with a liquid or if they have some type of particle block loose their
permeability.
If you find any dirt or debris inside of the filters, replace them.
The next step if the problem persists is to clean the suction duct of the applicators. For this purpose
use the cleaning syringe and a container full of warm water (cold also possible).

Cleaning syringe

Before carrying out the filling process, disconnect the tube with the red ring from the deposit tank as
shown in the image:

Suction tube disconnection

It is necessary for safety reasons, protecting the vacuum pump in case a treatment is started by
mistake.
To start the cleaning process, insert the blue syringe tube into the suction inlet of the hand piece.
Connecting the syringe to the suction duct

Inject the water in the vacuum line. Repeat the procedure twice. Then perform the same, but injecting
air only, in order to remove excess water in the circuit.
If, after cleaning the hand piece the problem persists, open the equipment and try to find where the
obstruction could be, tracing the vacuum line.
3.2.10 - Suction losses

If in case that the equipment reaches the programmed vacuum, but does not maintain it, most
probably is caused by an air leaks. In order to detect it follow the procedure step by step.

Vacuum circuit

The first step is to use the silicone pad or balloon in order to detect if the problem is caused by the
placement of the hand piece on the body or the coolpad is misplaced.

Step 1
In this first step is tested the entire circuit. The objective is with increasing the number steps to trace
further the line in direction towards the vacuum pump for possible leaks. It will be necessary to block
the lines separating it in different sections, by bending or pinching the hoses.
If after using silicone pad or balloon, the air loss disappears, the problem was caused by the
placement of the applicator on the body. But if still persists, move to the second step:

Step 2

In step 2 is tested the section of the line to the deposit tank in the back. In case the air leak has
stopped blocking as shown on the image, the fault is either in the plastic connector on the back or in
the connector of the applicator with the equipment.
To change the plastic connector, first disconnect the pipe from the metal part and remove the plastic
fitting. Depending on whether male or female fitting will need 2 or 1 plastic washer.

2 plastic washers on female fitting 1 plastic washer on male fitting

Apply Loctite 5331 sealant

Apply sealant to the plastic thread.

Reconnect the plastic fitting to the metal and tighten carefully using a wrench. Reconnect the tube.
In case the leak persists proceed with step 3:

Step 3

Step 3: Block the line at the other hose of the tank (tube with filter) and test the circuit from the return
connector of the tank to the pump.
If the leak has stopped, the problem has been is in the tank of the equipment. To solve it replace the
deposit. As a temporary solution make a bridge (explained in previous chapter).
Temporary bridge

In case the leak persists proceed to step 4:

Step 4

From step 4 onwards are checked the internal components of the equipment, in this case block the
tube connecting the tank and the solenoid valves.
Return tubes blocking in step 4

If the air leak has stopped, the problem has been in the plastic fitting, proceed to the replacement as
explained in step 2.

If the problem persists move to step 5:

Step 5

Block the tube just before the vacuum sensor, in this case the tested component is only the sensor.
So if the error persists, change the CPU. But if the leak disappeared the problema has been in
Electro-valve 1 (EV1) which does not close correctly.
To replace a solenoid valve follow the recommendations:
Solenoid valves on the base Electro-valves mounting screws

Release the solenoid valve from the base by removing the screws then disconnect it from the tubes.
Disconnect the cable from the CPU.

EV1 and EV2 connectors

Install the new solenoid valve, reconnect the tubes and the cable. Proceed to perform again step 1 to
make sure that the problem is solved.
