NOTE: 46°C is the maximum mixed water temperature from Shower approx. 14 l/min
the bath tap. The maximum temperature takes account of the
Max. water temperature at hot water supply 70 °C
allowable temperature tolerances inherent in thermostatic
mixing valves and temperature losses in metal baths.
Recommended max. flow temperature (energy saving) 60 °C
It is not a safe bathing temperature for adults or children.
Safety stop 38 °C
The British Burns Association recommends 37 to 37.5 °C as a
comfortable bathing temperature for children. In premises

The thermostatic mixing valve will be installed in such a Cold water connection right
position that maintenance of the TMV and its valves and the
commissioning and testing of the TMV can be undertaken. Hot water connection left
Requirements shall be verified against the original set
temperature results once a year. Minimum flow rate = 5 l/min
The installation of thermostatic mixing valves must comply with If static pressure exceeds 5 bar, a pressure reducing valve
the requirements of the Water Supply (Water Fittings) must be fitted.
Regulations 1999.
The fitting of isolation valves is required as close as is
practicable to the water supply inlets of the thermostatic mixing
valve.
Flush piping system prior and after installation of fitting Inspect and clean all parts, replace if necessary and lubricate
thoroughly (Consider EN 806)! with special valve grease.
Install unions and screw-mount the mixer, see fold-out page I, Shut off the hot and cold water supply.

Non-return valve, see fold-out page III, Fig. [7].
Refer to the dimensional drawing on fold-out page I.
Remove connection nipple using a 12mm allen key.
The projection can be increased by 20mm with an extension,
see Replacement Parts, fold-out page II, Prod. no. 07 130. Install in reverse order.
