AP-ENBD

Introduction

1. Thanks for using TECO AP-ENBD expansion card. To learn more about the product, please
carefully read the manual before using it.

2. AP-ENBD expansion card is for Ethernet communication. It can realize remote

communication through AP-PCLINK. It supports Modbus TCP communication protocol, and
can perform remote monitoring via graphic software or human-machine interface. To use
the expansion card, you must plug in it before the Basic unit is powered on, otherwise, the
expansion card won't work normally. The expansion card can be only plugged/unplugged
when the power is off. When the expansion card is not in use, you shall install the standard
cover of the expansion card, so as to protect it from dust, which may affect the connectivity of
the connector. After the expansion card is plugged, the Basic unit will identify the expansion
card automatically, and display the ID D8020/D8021=4(ID=0 when identification error
occurs) in D8020/D8021 (for expansion card communication port).

Connection Configuration

Power off the AP Basic unit, remove the cover of the AP expansion card and plug in ENBD
expansion card. Connect the ENBD expansion card and the router or HUB with the cable, and
then connect the PC and the router. Power on, if the indicator of ENBD network interface is ON,
it indicates the connection is correct.
You could also connect AP-ENBD and the network interface on PC with a cable.

Network Configuration

Network Configuration on PC

1. Open Control Panel->Network Connection. Right-click Local Connection, and select

Property. Prior to this step, please check whether the network card works normally.

2.Select Internet Protocol(TCP/IP), click Property

 Set the local IP address in the segment of 192.168.0.XXX, which must be different from
the IP address of ENBD.
Please check whether it is connected with the network connection interface.
Network Configuration on PC is finished.

Configuration on ENBD

The default IP address of ENBD is 192.168.0.3. Please confirm it by inputting 192.168.0.3 in the
browser on PC.
Key in the default user name admin and password admin to log in.

Please set the baud rate as 19200,DATA BITS=8,Data Parity = None, Stop Bits =2, all others
shall keep the default value.
MODBUS TCP protocol *Note, make sure Server Listening Port = 502;
MODBUS protocol, make sure Server Listening Port = 5000;
To modify the IP address, please do remember it and make sure it is within the same segment with
the PC IP address.
Apply the modification and reboot.
Configuration on ENBD is finished.

Use AP-LINK

Please use AP-PCLINK of V1.08sp and V1.09 or above

Select PLC->Connection
Select TCPIP for the communication port
Select the target MAC address and connect

The connection status can be viewed in the status zone of AP-PCLINK.

*Note: For MODBUS TCP protocol, the BUFF sent by MASTER shall be 256BYTE in
maximum, and BUFF received by MASTER shall be 171BYTE in maximum.
