The impacts of technology to children

Nowadays, the impacts of technology among the children is increasing gradually and
children's brains are still evolving, and they may be more susceptible to the impact of
technology and its overuse than adults. Although certain aspects of technology have had
positive impacts on the environment, there is also evidence of technology's detrimental
effects and overuse. Eye strain and difficulties performing on vital activities can be caused by
social media and electronic devices, which may lead to psychological and physical problems.
They can also play a role in more severe health issues like depression. [CITATION joh20 \l

In fact, there is a greater chance of harm and a breach of privacy. Teenagers and
children have grown up in a technological environment, and they are unfamiliar with the
concept of privacy. Cybersecurity is an integral aspect of today's technology, but it isn't
always flawless. Technology may be used by hackers and criminals to capture identity and
harass children. Theft, privacy problems, abuse, and other issues have all escalated as a result
of technical advances. The IT industry is in urgent need of cybersecurity specialists who can
help make technologies safer for children. [ CITATION Imp19 \l 1033 ].

However, with all of this continual exposure to technology, there are some legitimate
questions about how it affects children's growth. We are venturing into unfamiliar territories,
when previous generations have never seen such relentless technical immersion. So, in order
to avoid these kinds of negativity that technology brought to our children we should have
control to reduce the time they are using Social media or any kind of digital things. Although
today’s children are more likely to be addictive on Social media, but still we can mobilize
them to stay away the negativity of technology.
According to Medical News Today, children who overuse technology may be more
likely to experience issues like low academic achievement, attention deficiency and poor
creativity. Moreover, when children are spending their time on social media they would’ve
seen inappropriate things and their mind would be spoiled and that results very low creativity,
for example, they can access websites which is only for adults and mature people because if
they only click “I am over 18” it would be confirmed for them and that is huge risk for them
in the future.
Lastly, Several experiments have suggested that the minds of technology abusers evolve over
time in a predictable fashion. According to studies, the number of times technology addicts
search their devices is just enough to trigger the addiction-prone areas of our brains. The
technology addiction would harm and effect the children because of over using Social media
and even online games.
