With an aim to help the needy and suffering humanity and to bring an awareness
about health care among the general public Homoeopathic Self Reliance Forum, a
Voluntary Service Organisation was established at DRDO Township on 27th April 1987
by a group of likeminded people under the leadership of Sri P.V. Sathyanarayana, who
was already practicing homoeopathy for 10 years as a free service to the suffering
humanity.
The Forum has helped many scientists and technologists not only from DRDO,
but also from ISRO, NAL, IISc, HAL, BEML, BHEL, BEL, ITI and many Software
Companies, who are involved in Science & Technology areas to relieve their stress and
On the day of Amravathi Foundation Function on 22 nd Oct. 2015, we started our branch
at New LIC Colony, Teja Township, Peda Palakaluru, Guntur – 522 002. Same
working hours like in Bangalore. Dr. Hanumaiah (98662 06018) who was trained in our
Forum in Bangalore for 5 years is successfully treating patients and achieving very
good results. People from many villages up to the range of 200 kms are availing the
service. We thank Teja Township management for providing accommodation and their
kind support.
Following the footsteps of our Guru Dr. GV Chalapathi garu, with an aim to
continue his noble program of bringing awareness among common people about the
importance of lifestyle to maintain good health and efficacy of Homoeopathy to cure
diseases, the Forum has organized number of free Homoeopathic awareness programs
of 2 or 3 days duration at various places. Each program has been attended by more
So far, this Forum has organised more than 100 one day Free Homoeopathic
Seminars for the benefit of practicing Homoeopaths and homoeopathic students to
exchange and enhance their knowledge. More than 100 homoeopaths (even from other
states) used to attend. The Forum is providing excellent practical training freely to the
Fresh Homoeopathic physicians, who passed BHMS or MD. They have been taught
Classical Homoeopathic Method (higher level of Homoeopathy) practiced at the
Forum to cure the diseases. They are performing well in their practice after the training.
The Forum is regularly conducting One year Free Homoeopathic Course on
Classical Homoeopathy and providing practical training. Along with Sri P V
Satyanarayana, qualified and trained Homoeopathic physicians and well experienced
Homoeopaths are the Teaching Faculty for this course.
The Forum had created a sense of security among the general public, whenever
there was a panic due to outbreak of epidemic diseases viz., Brain Fever, Plague,
Chikungunya, Dengue, Swine flu, Chicken-pox, Measles, Gastroenteritis, Flu, COVID
etc., by distributing preventive medicines freely to lakhs of people across the country
through service minded organisations working locally. Forum has helped lakhs of
people to prevent epidemic diseases in the areas affected by floods, earthquake and
other natural calamities anywhere in our country.
Now the Forum identified and distributed ARSENIC ALB 30 about 2 Lakhs family
packets (each packet for 6 members) to the interested people till today, to improve
their immunity against COVID, in various parts of our country free of cost. Forum is
also trying to create an awareness and confidence among the people to fight against
the COVID.
EXPRESSION OF GRATITUDE
We express our sincere gratitude and humble pranams to our Guruji
Dr.G.V.Chalapathi garu, a legendary Homoeopath from Ananthapur (A.P.). who taught
us Homoeopathy and all important aspects of managing acute and chronic diseases
including complicated cases. He had the treasure of knowledge which he gained

outstanding practitioner of this art and science of healing. He propagated human
service mission not only by medical treatment but also through publishing

Awareness Camps at various places in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Goa. In
recognition of his yeoman service to the suffering humanity, Krishnadevaraya University

“Prathibha Rajeev Prashasti Puraskar” on 19th November 2005.
We express our humble pranams to Sri Sirivaram Ranganatha Rao garu, who was
our guide, philosopher and mentor. He taught us Homoeopathy through his great
knowledge of Upanishads, Bhagavadgita, Mahabharatha, Bhagavatha, Ramayana and
his great humour. We also express our gratitude to all the members of HSRF,
Anantapur, who also contributed to enrich our knowledge.
We express our gratitude to DRDO Township Authorities, who have been kind
to provide excellent accommodation and environment to serve the needy and
suffering humanity. DRDO Township is serving the society through the Forum.

with our own rich experience. Dr. T N Rajagopala Rao, an advocate and a renowned
Homoeopath trained Dr. G V Chalapathi garu in Homoeopathy and gifted him with the
knowledge of his 50 years of great experience. Our Guru Dr. G V Chalapathi garu in
turn gifted the essence of his 60 years of great experience in handling large number of
patients to his disciples at Ananthapuram and Sri P V Satyanarayana and other
members of HSRF in Bangalore.
Sri P V Satyanarayana has 44 years of rich experience in handling various types
of diseases/patients both acute and chronic. He shares his knowledge to all the
interested people through Homoeopathic awareness programs, seminars, long-term
courses, regular practical training in the dispensary and discussions. Many people
including young qualified Homoeopathic Doctors who did BHMS or MD are benefited
immensely.
Anybody can use these remedies with confidence. They have to observe the
symptoms and modalities properly and use as per the guidelines provided against each
remedy. Kindly take the guidance of Doctors or people who are well experienced

booklet. As a first aid one can try for 2 or 3 days. If there is no improvement,

patient gets proper medical help.
OUR LIFESTYLE
The information is from the lectures and books of a great Naturopath Dr.
Manthena Satyanarayana Raju Garu from Vijayawada.
There are more than 84 lakhs of species (living beings) on the earth as per the
scientists. Out of them, only human being is trying to live against the nature’s principles.
Birds and animals in the forest inhale plenty of fresh air, drink plenty of water even if it is
dirty (not RO filtered water), and eat the food only when they feel hunger, they sleep for
10 -12 hours, they have good physical exercise and they pass urine and motion daily.
Universally goat eats only leaves, parrot eats only fruits, pigeon eats only seeds, and
tiger eats only flesh. Each creature has got fixed food pattern according to its bodily
needs. They do not eat any other food, even if they are hungry. Till their death they
earn their food, they do not depend on others. They live a healthy life for their entire
lifetime. Elephant lives for 100 years and tortoise lives for 400 years. They do not need
doctors, hospitals, heart specialist, lungs specialist, eye specialist, skin specialist etc.
They have got self-healing mechanism within themselves since they are living as per
the nature’s principles till their death.
Can any one of us tell, what is our food? We eat anything and everything. We
destroy the good qualities of the food, by processing/cooking/frying/seasoning and eat
in most unnatural way at unnatural timings, even when we do not feel hunger.
Our ancestors used to respect the trees, forests, rivers, hills, birds & animals, air,
water, earth, fire, space etc. They tried their best to live in harmony with the nature.
They were not suffering from modern day lifestyle diseases. They were fairly in good
state of health. They were not very dependent on medicines.
After the advancement of science and technology, we are trying our best to
destroy/pollute the nature and to live much against the nature’s principles. We are
paying heavy price for doing so. We all are suffering from various types of diseases. We
are giving birth to unhealthy children. Our life is becoming more and more miserable
2. GOOD WATER
Second-most important need of our body is Water.
Our body contains 68% water and 32% solid matter. To maintain proper balance,
we must drink 70% water and eat 30% food.
Water is necessary for efficient functioning of all the cells and organs of our
body. In an adult, 2.5 liters of water is used daily to perform healthy biological /
metabolic activity.
We use plenty of water to clean our body, clothes, utensils, house, vehicles etc.
Unfortunately, we do not use adequate water for cleaning our internal organs,
especially digestive system.
For internal cleaning of all the cells and organs, an average adult needs 1 to 1.5
liters of water daily to send out the waste material/toxins from the body.
If we do not supply the required amount of water, body gets habituated to adjust
itself to manage by absorbing water from the stool, urine, sweat, mucous, internal
fluids, skin etc.
Thereby when waste material cannot be eliminated from our body, internal body
becomes dirty, stool becomes hard & constipated, urine becomes thick and dark
colour, lot of bad smell is emitted from sweat, urine, stool, mouth, nose, ears,
penis/vagina and complete body.
3. GOOD FOOD
When we buy a new car, we prefer to use best fuel, which gives more mileage,
good performance and less pollution. Similarly, we must eat such food which gives
more nutrition, more energy, less pollution and less strain to the body to
digest.
The best items recommended in our diet so that we get all the nutrition and good
health are - whole grains, millets, nuts, sprouts, fruits and vegetables in their
most natural form. It gives lot of positive energy. We must eat at least 50% raw
food every day. Remaining 50% food should be cooked and not deep-fried.
Daily drink plenty of fresh juices of fruits/vegetables, tender coconut water,
lemon juice with honey & warm water instead of coffee/tea.
Always use unpolished food items like rice, pulses, dals (lentils), ravva (sooji)
and flour. All important nutrients and fiber are lost while polishing. Avoid use of
polished and processed food materials, as they spoil health.
Various types of Millets like Navane (Foxtail), Saame (Little), Oodhalu
(Barnyard), Haarka (Kodo), Baragu (Proso), Sajje (Pearl), Jola (Sorghum),
Ragi (Finger), Mokka Jola (Maize) etc. are very good healthy alternatives to
rice and wheat. Millets contain high amount of fiber and plenty of nutrients. It
4. GOOD EXERCISE
Daily physical exercise is a must to promote good blood circulation and to
eliminate waste materials from the body. Exercise keeps free movement all the
body parts.
Though you can do any kind of exercise, Yogasanas & Surya Namaskaras are
more beneficial and give more positive energy than any other exercise. Learn and
practice these daily on empty stomach.
5. GOOD EXCRETION
Ensure to flush out the waste materials of the body in the form of sweat, urine
and stool and keep the internal body clean.
Pass daily 2 or 3 stools and plenty of urine (colorless & odourless). Diseases
cannot enter if our internal body is clean.
It will be good to do enema at least once a month. It is a good method to clean
stagnant and dried stool from the colon.
Drinking good amount of water, eating sprouts, fruits, vegetables, food rich in fiber
and physical exercise will help proper excretion. Internal cleaning is most
important.
Proper excretion will reduce negative energy.
Patients recover quickly if they pass daily 2 to 3 stools.
6. GOOD REST
It is very important to have 7 to 8 hours of relaxing and refreshing good sleep daily.
It gives lot of positive energy. Children need 8 to 10 hours of sleep.
During rest, cleaning, repair and maintenance of the body takes place. This
activity will not be taken up until the food is digested. So, our dinner should be
digested before we go to sleep.
We get weekly one day holiday (rest from daily duty). Similarly our stomach needs
rest to clean the digestive system and to eliminate toxins/waste.

Do full-day fasting once in 15 days and give complete rest to the body. Fasting
helps in cleaning, repair and maintenance of our body. It will enhance positive
energy.
During any sickness, stop eating food and give rest to the stomach. Fasting
helps in quick recovery. Lankanam paramaoushadham (fasting is a great
medicine).
During fasting, take tender coconut water or lemon juice mixed with 4 to 6 tea
spoons of honey and warm water every 3 hours. This juice gives instant energy
to the body and cleans the body like a detergent. Drink plenty of water every one
hour. Then there will be no weakness and tiredness while fasting.
When the children are sick, do not force them to eat food. Food cannot be
digested and becomes toxic. Give either tender coconut water or warm water with
lemon & honey or sweet orange juice with honey, it will help for faster recovery of
the child.
7. GOOD THOUGHTS
According to Hindu Philosophy, there are six types of enemies called
“Arishadvarga” within every person. They are Kama (Desire, Lust), Krodha
(Anger), Lobha (Greed, Avarice), Moha (Attachment, Love & Affection), Mada
(Arrogance, Ego, Pride), Matsara (Jealousy, Envy, Hatred). The intensity of these
qualities varies from one person to another. We inherit these qualities from our
ancestors through genes. If they are in low profile and below the safe limit, we will
be in a good state of health. If any one or more of these six inner enemies are
present above safe limit, we suffer from diseases. Founder of Homoeopathy, Dr.
Samuel Hahnemann was the first medical doctor who declared that the “State of
Mind” is the root cause for all the diseases.
Negative (bad) thinking and Negative Emotions viz., anger, jealousy, hatred,
unhappiness, greed, grief, disappointment etc., produce lot of negative energy
and diseases.
Positive (good) thinking and Positive Emotions produce positive energy in the
body and enhance health.
Techniques to improve positive energy: Meditation, listening to good music,
chanting of vedic mantras, teachings of saints & great people, enjoying nature,

involving in artistic activities or doing something good to others or any good work
that gives real happiness to the mind.
Every person can choose an activity based on their own interest to keep his mind
at peace and harmony. After attaining good results, he should inspire others by
sharing his experience.
Divide the daily quota of recommended intake of water into 3 equal parts. Drink
first part as soon as you get up from sleep in the morning. You can drink it all at
once or in 2 or 3 installments with 15 minutes gap and walk around by focusing on
the abdomen. Do not divert the mind to phone, TV, newspaper, talking to others or
attending some work. Because of water pressure, body movement and mind
concentration, there will be very good bowel movement.
Drink second part of water in 3 or 4 installments starting from two hours after
breakfast and finish it half an hour before lunch.
Drink third part of water in 3 or 4 installments starting from 2 hours after lunch and
finish it before 6 pm.
Just like we clean the vessel with water before cooking food and the plate before
eating food, we must drink plenty of water 30 minutes before eating food. This
will help to clean the entire digestive system and produce healthy digestive juices at
the time of eating.
Seasonal fresh fruits are very tasty and easily digestible for everyone including
children and sick people. Fruits give instantaneous energy. It is a good source of
vitamins, minerals, enzymes, anti-oxidants and fiber. Fruits are essential to absorb
People who do not have mental and physical stamina, become tired easily. Those
who are underweight and want to improve body weight.
Pregnant women: to get all the nutrients and good hormones for intellectual and
physical development of the child in the womb.
Children and students, to improve memory, concentration, physical growth and
good stamina.
It is an excellent diet to correct the disorders of thyroid gland, muscles (muscular
dystrophy), bones and nerves.
To prevent premature greying of hair and hair fall.
To reduce LDL (bad) cholesterol and improve HDL (good) cholesterol. Good for
heart patients. Improves blood circulation.
Good for diabetics as sprouts supply natural insulin. Good for people suffering
from diabetic gangrene. Diabetics should avoid raisins, dates and figs.
To improve sexual stamina, fertility and sperm count.
Obese people should use sprouts and not nuts.
Whoever wants to live healthy till their death.
NON-VEGETARIAN
“Prone to get infections, heart diseases and Cancer”
Many Scientific studies reveal that human anatomy is designed for the consumption
of vegetarian food.
When we sense the smell of ripened fruits like mangoes, guava, jackfruit, oranges,
custard apple etc., we get tempted to eat, saliva secretes in our mouth and we
spontaneously pick the fruit to take a bite and enjoy its taste.
When cat senses a rat, it chases, catches, kills and enjoys eating raw flesh of rat.
When any carnivorous animal is hungry, it senses the smell of its favourite food
(flesh of other birds/animals), chases and kills them. At the smell of the raw flesh
saliva oozes in their mouth and they enjoy eating.
On the other hand human beings cannot kill the animals with their bare hands. They
dislike the smell of raw meat, fish, broken eggs and they cannot eat and digest
them. This is a clear indication that we are not non-vegetarians.
Birds and animals experience severe pain and lot of mental agony when they are
being killed. As a result, lot of harmful hormones like Adrenalin and lot of
negative energy is released into all the organs of their body before they die.
As a result whoever consumes the meat becomes irritable, angry, gets negative
thoughts/feelings, becomes destructive and more susceptible to getting various
diseases including cancer.
In the world, per capita non-vegetarian consumption is more in America. Many
people in America suffer from psychological disorders, heart diseases, digestive
disorders, skin diseases, cancer etc.
Each egg’s outer layer contains about 30,000 minute pores. Dangerous bacteria
like Salmonella, Staphylococci enter the eggs and it needs to be stored below 8
degrees Celsius. Otherwise it is harmful to eat.
To increase productivity in poultry farming, different types of harmful anti-organic
medicines and hormones are used.
Scientists find blood from Vegans to be 8 times more protective against Cancer than
blood from people who take standard American diet. Vegan diet contains food items
made from plants and does not include any animal products including milk and eggs.
Get up at 5 am, wash your mouth and drink 1 to 1.5 litres of lukewarm or room
temperature water in 2 or 3 installments with a gap of 15 minutes. Walk around
concentrating on your belly. When pressure builds up, go to toilet. Stool will be
flushed out with lot of force and intestines will be cleaned well.
After passing stool, do meditation, pranayama & yogasanas or any other
exercise.
Take mixed vegetable juice or wheat grass juice with lemon juice and honey.
You can also take lemon juice with honey and warm water. Sip it slowly like tea.
After 1½ to 2 hours gap, take good breakfast of sprouts mixed with grated fresh
coconut, carrot, fine pieces of green chillies and lemon juice. You can also eat
sprouts mixed with nuts soaked overnight in water, dates and fresh fruits.
24. There will be medical emergencies, if there are children in the house. So, always
keep few emergency home remedies or Homoeo medicines ready to use, till you
reach the Doctor.
25. Make the children aware of “Health is wealth and Health for all.”
Deep fried oily food, food preserved in fridge, ice creams, fast food, all sorts of tinned
food, packaged food, maidha preparations, biscuits, bakery food, cakes, chips,
chocolates, noodles, pizzas, burgers, eggs, non-vegetarian food, coffee/tea, pickles,
jam, sauce, ketchup and any food items prepared using preservatives,
taste/colour/flavour enhancing chemicals, salt, sugar, oil, maidha etc. - All these stuff
pollute entire body and spoil the lLiver and spleen. Liver and spleen are the most
important organs which take care of the total health of the body. If liver and spleen
are spoiled, body gets various diseases from common cold to cancer. World Health
Organisation and United Nations Expert Committee on food additives has warned that
some of these food items can cause Cancer. Salt and sugar are twin brothers that give
taste and also promote most of the diseases. These two are white poisons.
Most of the packaged food and processed food contain MSG (Mono Sodium
Glutamate) commonly known as tasting powder or Chinese salt or Ajinomoto. This
chemical causes various types of diseases including cancer. This will also disturb the
mind, impair the memory and concentration. The person becomes very irritable, angry,
restless and loses control of his mind. It causes a lot of skin diseases, allergies,
asthma, joints pain, nerves weakness, headache etc. Cooks who cater food in functions
and in hotels extensively use MSG. This chemical creates a false impression in the
brain that the food is very tasty. It is another white poison.
Habits: Soft drinks, pan/gutkha/tobacco chewing, smoking, alcohol, narcotic drugs etc.
will totally destroy the health. Soft drinks are very dangerous stuff and are used
extensively now-a-days. Soft drinks contain phosphoric acid and other chemicals.
There is zero nutrition in them. It gives mental excitement and reduces memory. It will
also cause various disorders and diseases leading to infertility, impotency, baldness,
premature oldage, bone-related diseases, nerves disorders, cancer etc. As soon as a
person drinks soft drink, immediately he will develop acute suffering of cold, cough,
throat infection, fever, chest congestion and breathing problem. Farmers are using soft
drinks as cheap and effective pesticides. Soft drinks are the best toilet cleaners as its
acidic (PH) value is equal to that of toilet cleaners. Kindly do not drink or offer soft
drinks to others.
Fridge: Fruits, vegetables and other food items stored in fridge lose their nutrition value
day by day. If available, nearby it is better to buy fruits, vegetables and milk daily. By
storing in the fridge you are wasting lot of electricity.
It is better to consume or dispose of the cooked food on same day. If stored in the
fridge, reheated and consumed, not only it loses nutrition value, but also it creates
various diseases.
Many times children and few adults consume water and food items kept in the
fritz and develop cold, throat infection, respiratory problems and fever leading to
complications and hospitalisation.
TV: We are getting addicted to TV Serials, Movies and Cricket Matches, cartoons,
reality shows and inviting lot of social problems, emotional disturbances and diseases.
Children are watching TV by sitting close to the TV and spoiling their eye sight at an
early age. Elders are switching on TV when the children are studying, thereby spoiling
their concentration. Watching TV programmes till late night, destroys health. Be wise
and Watch only useful programmes.
Internet: Many are addicted to this and spending lot of time till later hours, thereby
damaging health, causing discontentment in the family and social problems. Internet is
a good source of information. Use it in a healthy manner for good purpose
Air conditioner: Some people are addicted to AC, not properly exposed to sunlight and
fresh air, thereby inviting various diseases. AC machine consumes lot of electricity. Use
AC only when it is absolute necessity.
Some people while walking or doing some work, hold the cell phone in between head
and the shoulder and converse continuously. This will cause irreparable damage to
their ear, neck and spine.
Use cell phone as less as possible. Use only to communicate and not for
continuous conversation.
These are various healing methods known to us. There may be some more methods
available worldwide. The suffering person can adopt any healing method which
can relieve the suffering and give more comfort at a bearable cost. Though some
of the so- called modern medical systems give quick relief to the patient, the huge cost
of diagnosis and the treatment make it financially difficult for the poor and middle class
patients and make their families suffer for the rest of their life.
Everybody should learn to live healthy and develop good knowledge to get cured
of diseases in the initial stage itself with affordable cost and more effective healing
methods.
