2.0 DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES

Halal socialisation refers to the dissemination of halal-related information across the

organisation. It could be in the form of poster, leaflet, lecture, internal bulletin, audit,
memo or training. Halal Socialisation Program shall involve not only the employees
but also the third-party stakeholders, such as suppliers.

Halal Socialisation Program facilitates the implementation of the company’s halal

policy and procedures at operational level by increasing awareness of all
stakeholders. Exposure to correct halal-related information promotes halal awareness
and enhances understanding, which promotes halal compliances at all stages in the
company. Control measures at every halal control point (HCP) can also be executed
more precisely and efficiently. Halal Socialisation Program shall be continuously
ongoing to ensure all stakeholders have sufficient and up-to-date knowledge to
effectively deliver their roles and responsibilities towards halal compliance.

Top management shall allocate sufficient funds for the execution of Halal
Socialisation Program. All activities under the program shall be documented and the
records shall be retained for at least 3 years.

It is the responsibility of Talent & Culture Department to ensure the sustainability of

the Halal Socialisation Program and the Halal Executive’s responsibility to verify the
adequacy and effectiveness of the program.
