Applied Business Tools and Technologies in Tourism

1. What is Business Tool?

 Business Tool provides a foundation for successful implementation of both strategic and tactical
business decisions regarding current activities, processes, procedures and tasks for the purpose
of meeting existing goals and objectives of a profit organization and satisfying customer needs
and expectations.

2. Give Four (4) different consideration in choosing a business tool.

License Cost
 The cost of using the tool is another significant consideration. Not all tools are created equal–
nor do they share the same price tag. The cost of the license needs to fit within your company’s
IT budget, while providing the necessary capabilities for your staff to perform accurate load tests
on your system.

Efficiency of Tool
 A testing tool’s efficiency refers to how many current virtual users it can generate for a test on a
single test operating device. A more efficient tool means your business will require fewer testing
devices to produce a larger-scale virtual test.

User Options for Testing

 Different tools offer different user options for performance testing, so the tool your company
chooses should have the ones best suited to your needs. These options can vary from the
maximum volume of virtual users to local performance adjustments necessary to work around
bottlenecking problems that hinder test accuracy.
Vendor Support
 In some cases the people behind the tool are as important as the tool itself. As with any major
purchase your business is going to rely on long-term, your company needs to ask if the vendor is
going to support the tool while you need it.

3. Give Five (5) different uses of Business Tools

 Tools used for data input and validation in any department.

 Tools used for controlling and improving business processes.
 Tools used for data consolidation and decision making.
 Tools used for Change management program.
 Tools used for Mission statement and vision statement
Case study
The Data Privacy Act, also known as Republic Act No. 10173, is a law that attempts to protect all types of
information, whether private, personal, or sensitive. It is intended to apply to both natural and legal
individuals involved in the processing of personal information.

In the case of Sally, although not intended to navigate the salesman’s phone where she needed to
borrow for business purposes, she cannot sue the owner of the phone due to the following reasons:

a. She would violate the data privacy act. Take note, that it is not hers, and has no right to use the
phone for games, unless for business purposes;

b. She is not involved in any sexual acts on the phone (pictures or videos) so therefore she has no right
to sue the owner;

c. The owner of the phone has the right to sue Sally because she was the one who violated the law,
invading of private or personal data.

 I don't see anything wrong if she borrow it for business purpose and she asked to borrow it but
also if she borrows it and will not use it for business, she will be accused of violate the data
privacy act, because she was already borrowed and then she did something else instead of
business purposes of course the owner trusted her and also she broke the trust of the owner
that’s why she can be charged by The Data Privacy Act, also known as Republic Act No. 10173, is
