TAKO troubleshooting and I/O board diagnostic instructions

Dear KONE Engineers:

If you encounter drive fault like below or other uncovered on site, please do the following
steps

Type Fault description Solution

KR6/KR7 Main contact close, speed cannot up Change I/O board
KR6/KR7 Drive not OK,V3F light red, cannot run Change I/O board
KR6/KR7 No close door instruct Change I/O board
Natural manual cannot do, brake is no
KR6/KR7 Change I/O board
voltage
KR6/KR7 Cannot run Change I/O board
KR6/KR7 Manual run, drive exploded Change the whole drive
Vacon will update this list periodically based on our experience

Step 1: Open the cover

Step 2: Disconnect DC+/- protective plastic

Step3: measure main circuit, multimeter black pin to DC+,red pin to L1,L2,L3,
diode-forward value is between 0.3-0.4V
Black pin to DC+,red pen contact U/T1,V/T2,W/T3,diode value is about

0.3-0.4V

Step 4:red pin to DC-,black pin to L1,L2,L3,diode-forward value is between

0.3-0.4V

Red pin to DC-,black pin to U/T1,V/T2,W/T3,diode-forward value is

between 0.3-0.4V
Step 5(Most important),

If value is ok, please exchange the I/O board with a good one and if
the drive works then, Vacon will send a new I/O board to site, KONE is
responsible to send the broken one back to Vacon

Attention: Please exchange the I/O board when power if off

Step 6: if the measured value is wrong, then this is power board or IGBT
broken

For example:

Value like: 0.001, 0.456, OL, this is IGBT broken
