New crankcase ventilation system for Kalmar 44 AWF Straddle Carrier

GUID-34C9E6A0-F026-43CB-80B5-DAE379119FC9 [V1]

SERVICE BULLETIN
Introduction
AGCO Power introduces a new crankcase ventilation solution for Kalmar straddle carriers with 44 AWF
engines in EU area. The solution is a new crankcase ventilation filter with increased oil separating
performance.
Because of this improvement it is possible to connect the crankcase ventilation system as OCV (open
crankcase ventilation). The OCV system prevents the oil particle formation to compressor wheel and
removes the risk for decreased turbocharger performance.

Details

See the instructions that follows before you make

the modification to the current products with CCV
(closed crankcase ventilation) system: 1
• Prevent dust and other impurities to get inside
the rubber hose.
• Prevent water to get inside the rubber hose. 2
NOTE: In cold conditions water can form ice. 3
• Install the rubber hose correctly:
- Make sure that there are no U-bends.
- Make sure that there are no bends that
are not necessary.
- Attach the bends carefully to prevent the GUID-AC9C33C9-F21B-41F8-B50A-4CE0AD5BE5D6-low.svg [Low]
