The purpose of this paper is to determine the raised problems that results for the

researchers to come up with this kind of project. Moreover, in addressing these

problems the researchers came up with solutions that we will be focusing, leaving those
problems being settled. Also, this paper will tackle the benefits that the consumers will
experience in purchasing the product. Lastly, this paper will undergo a brief discussion

 BACKGROUND ON THE PROBLEM, OPPURTUNITY, OR SITUATION

One of the main problems that most people encounter with some storage-
furniture like drawers, is that it is quite heavy for them to move it from one place to
another. Especially, when they are cleaning their house, and it occasionally requires for
such furniture to be moved for it to be cleaned because of some dirt or dust underneath
it. But the problem here is, storage-furniture like drawers was made to be stored with
personal belongings or stuff, making it heavy. And it sometimes takes two or three
individuals for that drawer to be moved. With this, it consumes too much human effort,
making it inconvenient and tiring at the same time.

Additionally, majority of the storage-furniture guarantees the safety of the

important documents or stuff that one stores inside a drawer. But, in some cases, there

 Firstly, the proposed project would be beneficial to the proponent of the
product, for being recognized with the product made. Also, it would be beneficial to the
company that would introduce it to the market, knowing that the Furniture Republic’s
goal is to consistently aim of being in the forefront of all furniture businesses, it best
suits for this company to sell this kind of product since, as mentioned early, it offers
different kinds of furniture from the classy old furniture to the modernized furniture.

With this kind of product being a part of the Furniture Republic, this would
bring the company to a whole new level. For a reason that, this device is technologically
advanced compared to other ordinary drawers or storage-furniture. Surely, as soon as

incorporated with the usual drawer, the wheels are another feature that we added up
with the classic storage-furniture-drawer. Obviously, we all know what wheels look like,

 they are circle in shape. They are constructed in a perfect circle, for it to move freely
because if it is not perfectly circle in shape it would not function well. The size of the
wheels depends on the things that you would be storing in that drawer, because if you
were to store heavy things, we should install wheels that are heavy duty, on the other
side if it would not be that heavy, an ordinary wheel would suffice. The location of the
wheels is located at the bottom edges of the drawer. It is strongly recommended that the
wheels are made up of a combination of rubber and plastic.

Lastly, the RF (Radio Frequency) Receiver Board is the most significant and
important portion of this innovative device because it is where it receives the data
transferred from the remote in the form of radio waves to successfully maneuver the

to have skills when it comes in working, building, or manufacturing things. One must put

knowledge of what kind of wooden materials would be appropriate, especially because
this device is entirely made of wood. The next important thing to remember in building

this device is that in the production phase of the device the place must be appropriate in
manufacturing the products. Again, the framework of the device is simple the ordinary
drawer that everyone knows, so the method of building it would be the same as to the
way drawers are made. Maximizing the wood materials provided is essential so there

 will be know waste. Building the device’s casing is not that hard we just simply put
together the readily made drawer fronts, drawer box etc. And know after putting
altogether, it is time to apply the modifications that the researchers had intended to
incorporate with the wooden drawer. The RF Receivers boards will be mounted at the
base of the drawer, specifically underneath the drawer. Next is that wheels will be added
on every bottom edges of the drawer. This is what makes it possible for the drawer to be
mobile. The researchers intended to use high-end materials in making this device.

In this very moment, the proponents of the project compared to other researchers

have limited knowledge in this field. The proponent was a former student of Naga City
Science High School in Naga City, Camarines Sur. The proponent is very much well-

versed to go about the project being proposed. During the time when the proponent was
still in high school, they had conducted a research about the efficiency of the
mechanical up-down motion of the sea waves in generating electricity. In addition to
this, there were several activities anchored to this project that the proponents

 participated. Currently, the proponent is a 2 nd year Mechanical Engineering college
student of Mapua University. The proponent participated in an annual activity exclusively
for mechanical engineering student, the line tracing competition. Unfortunately, even
though the proponent did his best, there were some technical abnormalities that occur
in the middle of the competition that resulted for the proponent’s team to lose. On the
upside, the proponent together with his team gained knowledge and at the same time
experience, and that is what is important. The purpose of this section of the paper is to
prove to the Furniture Republic how competent, passionate, and hard working the
proponent is when it comes to his works.

When it comes to the expenses for the production of this product, it would be

expensive, since the goal of the proponents of this project aims to offer their valuable

customers with the best quality that they can offer. To discuss it in detail, the minimum
cost of a piece of high-end plywood depending on its size here in the country reaches

1,000 pesos. Come to think of it, it is just a piece of plywood and a regular drawer

requires 10 to 15 plywood, and if you would do the math it would cost a total sum
10,000 to 15,000 pesos. This is for the framework of the device. Adding the prices of the
added features like the wheels, the RF receiver board and the waterproofing system, it

would definitely be a lot. It would cost approximately 20,000 pesos. Take note that this
total cost is just for a single maneuverable drawer and in order to distribute a quality
product, it would take a lot of time to ensure the quality that it should achieve. Not only
that, but we should also put in mind that there are workers in your production place,

takes a lot of money, it offers a lifelong benefit for the people who happens to avail this
product.

CONCLUSION

In brief, the researchers had come up with a solution to the raised problems as

mentioned earlier and that is by innovating drawers to become a Maneuverable Drawer.

The Maneuverable Drawer is simply a drawer that can easily be controlled, utilizing a

remote from a distance. This innovative device functions the same way the RC (Radio-

controlled) Toy Cars functions. The advancement of technology that was installed to a
