What is essay?

The purpose of teaching students essay writing is to: Develop independent writing
skills in them. Essay does not refer to the description of any content. An essay is an
expression of a writer's personal opinion about a subject. Although different
authors write essays on a single topic, each of their essays has a special feature in
terms of the authors' own perspectives. According to RICHARAL WILSON: to
create in the reader’s mind of feeling of pleasure and the idea that there is not
merely a pen but a living personality behind the writing. Of course, students
can only try to write such essays after they have practiced writing some essays in a
simple form.
