INTRODUCTION
A Brief View of Our Topics

Bees and flowering plants have a long-standing and

remarkable co-evolutionary history. Flowers and
bees evolved traits that enable pollination, a
process that is as important to plants as it is for
pollinating insects.
Intermission

"It do bee like that

sometimes."
M NAUFAL NURSYABANA
Q: WHY DOES THE ANIMAL USE THIS
ELECTRICITY?

A: They use static electricity to make

their pollen-collecting activities
easier.
Q: WHAT PART OF THE
BODY THAT BUMBLEBEE
USE TO DETECT
ELECTRIC FIELDS?
Q: HOW DOES THE MECHANISM TO
PRODUCE ELECTRICITY?

A: They produce electricity from the

flap of their wings.
Q : What is the function of its electricity?

A : To attract. Because bumblebees cant define

which one is flowers once they go out from their
nest, so they need the electricity to pick which
flowers they need to approach.
Q : HOW BUMBLEBEES CARRY THE POLLEN?

A : Bumble bee foraging on sea holly, with pollen in the pollen

baskets on the hind legs. The bee thus becomes covered in pollen,
and then uses its legs to wipe the pollen from its body down to stiff
hairs on the abdomen or back legs.
Q : WHY DONT THEY PICK THE SAME
FLOWERS AS THE OTHER BEES?
A : Because the electrical force in the flowers already become so weak
since the others bees has distract its pattern previously.

Q : How to know that bees can
detect electric fields in flower?
The flowers are negatively charged,
and the bees are positively charged.
Hairs and antennae both move in response to electric fields. Hairs respond
with significantly greater velocity than the antennae.
Q : Does the different environmental
condition affect this phenomenon?

The influence of electric fields can be strongly

reduced by environmental factors. For example, high
humidity condition leads to the formation of moist
films on surfaces which prevent charge build up
Q : Why did not the bees electrify
itself?

Because the electrical current is too weak to make bees electrified by

itself. The electrical current is just enough to carry out the pollen from
the flower.
HOW TO PROVE THE THEORY?
CONCLUSION

The attraction between bumblebee and flower is caused by static

electricity
CLOSURE
“ACCORDING TO ALL KNOWN LAWS OF AVIATION,
THERE IS NO WAY THAT A BEE SHOULD BE ABLE TO
FLY. ITS WINGS ARE TOO SMALL TO GET ITS FAT
LITTLE BODY OFF THE GROUND. THE BEE, OF
COURSE, FLIES ANYWAYS. BECAUSE BEES DON'T
CARE WHAT HUMANS THINK IS IMPOSSIBLE.”
