BD Pyxis™ MedStation™ ES
Configure a storage space
Configuring a storage space allows you to set up a device to accommodate facility needs. You may
need to change the number of pockets in a drawer, replace BD Pyxis™ CUBIE pockets or add a
remote stock location for items managed by, but not stored in, the device.

Change the number of pockets in a matrix drawer:

First, follow the steps to unload the medication currently in the drawer you’d like to
reconfigure.
Once all the medications are unloaded, from the Home screen, select Storage Space
Configuration.

Note: Depending upon your permissions, you may need to select More, then select Storage Space
Configuration.

Select the device containing the drawer you’d like to configure, then select Drawer Settings.

The device drawers are listed in the center column. Select the Matrix drawer you’d like to
configure.
Enter the number of pockets you’d like to set up in the Number of Pockets field. Select the
Has Internal Return Bin checkbox if applicable.
Select Open.
The drawer you selected pops open. Configure the pocket dividers as required to match the
number of pockets indicated.
Once the dividers are configured properly, select Accept.
The system will confirm that the configuration has been saved. Select Done and close the
drawer.
