I’m writing to recommend Taylor Mair for the open position at hand, and as a Certified
Therapeutic Recreation Specialist. I was fortunate to be Taylor’s internship supervisor for 14
weeks at Salt Lake County, Parks & Recreation. I was consistently impressed by her positive
attitude, hard work ethic, creativity, attention to care for participants, & ability to work in and
lead a team.

One of Taylor’s greatest roles at our agency was being the Assistant Director over our Adaptive
Summer Camp program, at Copperview Recreation Center. Her duties included: running weekly
staff meetings to review, discuss, and strengthen camp dynamics; communicating with
parents/families of participants; setting and helping to obtain participant goals and/or Behavior
Plans; solving problems as they arose; helping to manage and assess staff (i.e. making sure they
were on time and acting appropriately); ensuring safety and best practice was being
implemented; planning of interventions/activities schedule; helping to encourage staff to plan
and carry out interventions/activities; completing evaluations on staff; creating program
surveys and evaluations; & assisting with ensuring child care licensing rules were being
followed.

Along with her responsibilities as the Adaptive Camp Assistant Director, Taylor was able to staff
and facilitate numerous program interventions for children and adults with intellectual and
physical disabilities. Taylor was a dependable lead that I had no reservations with assigning
leadership tasks to.

I strongly believe that Taylor would be a fantastic addition to your team, and highly recommend
her for the open position.
