IV. Methodology
In this course, students will study, analyze, discuss, and apply all the structures
and knowledge of the English language taught during classes. Besides, to develop the
enforcement of different teaching methods of learning English such as the Content Based
Instruction (CBI) in which teaching is organized around the content or information that
students will acquired during the semester and the Communicative Language
correctly in realistic situations that they may find themselves in, and the Direct Method
which is based on the direct involvement of the student when speaking, and listening to;
Also, to set the environment for students’ learning, students can work in pairs or in
groups to develop activities and reinforce the contents previously studied. There will be a
one-hour videoconference once a week to interact with each other and practice as much as
possible through Google Meet making use of different digital and online tools.
Additionally, there will be one office hour in which students will be allowed to clarify any
questions they may have about the contents studied in class or to receive feedback of
different assignments. Thus, being an online modality, students are required to double
check the material for the subject before the videoconference so that all can take
advantage of the class time to clarify doubts and put into practice all that is being studied.
Besides, every week, there will be different assignments in the selected platform to work -
Google Classroom- for students to complete different tasks and keep practicing
constantly.

VI. Evaluation System
Five evaluations will be carried out during this course. These evaluations include a
listening and comprehension test, 1 video, a written exam, an oral interview and the

(email, Google Calendar, Google Meet, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Classroom and all that
might be necessary for the completion of all the activities for the semester).
3. In this course, Google Classroom will be used; there, students will have all documents to be used
for them to check all directions and evaluations for all the tasks for every unit. Assignments will be
shared in Classroom most of the times, but it might be necessary sometimes to use other tools for that
as well. Thus, it is important to attend classes and be constantly checking those accounts to be on track
and ask questions whenever there are doubts.
4. It is advisable to download the Google Classroom app in the cell phone, if possible and join the

Facebook group so that communication is fluent between teacher and students.
X. EVALUATION PROTOCOL

Art. 17 – A. - Los alumnos de todas las Facultades de la Universidad que al finalizar el CicloAcadémico,
obtuvieren una nota final entre 5.00 y 5.94 en una o másasignaturas, cursos, módulos, áreasintegradas o
cualquierotrotipo de unidad de aprendizaje, tendrán derecho aún Examen de Suficiencia de cada una, en el
cual se examinarántodos los contenidosdesarrolladosen las mismas; y podráincluirpruebasescritas y/o
prácticasclínicas o de laboratorio y otras; según las particularidades de la especialidad.
La Junta Directiva de la Facultad, aprobará la calendarización de los exámenes; garantizando que entre
cadaevaluaciónmedie un lapso de 24 horas comomínimo. La Dirección o Jefaturaresponsable, comunicará
el calendario antes mencionado por los medios a sualcance.
Los profesores de cadaunidad de aprendizajereportarán a la AdministraciónAcadémica Local en un
recolectoroficial, los resultadosobtenidosen el examen de suficiencia. La nota del examen de suficiencia se
promediará con la calificación final obtenidaen el ciclo, y elpromedioserá la nota final definitiva.
Las Facultades que tenganreguladosexámenes de reposición, remediales o similaresdurante el desarrollo del
ciclo, deberánmantenerlosensusistema de evaluación”. (1)

El examen de suficienciasustituyecualquierotro examen cuya nota se promedie con la nota final y no
comprende los exámenes que sustituyen la nota de una evaluacióndeterminada.
Art. 20. - Una vezpublicadas las notas de cualquierevaluación, los estudiantestendrán derecho dentro de los
tres días hábilessiguientes a solicitaren forma individual o colectivamente y por escrito la revisión de
prueba. La Dirección o Jefatura de la Escuela o Departamento que sirve la unidad de aprendizaje, señalará
día, hora y lugar dentro de los recintosuniversitarios para realizarla; el alumnotendrá derecho aestarpresente
al momento de realizarse la revisión y exponer las observacionespertinentes, los
resultadosdeberánhacerseconstaren un acta la cualfirmarán el docente y el
estudiantesiésteúltimoestuvierapresente.
El estudiante que no estuviereconforme con el resultado de la revisiónpodrásolicitar se le practique una
nuevarevisión, a mástardar dentro de los tres días hábilessiguientes, exponiendo por escrito las razones de
suinconformidad a la Dirección o Jefaturacorrespondiente, quienseñalará día, hora y lugar dentro de los
