My boyfriend Jay was seriously testing me these days. We
were having a normal conversation; he was asking me how my
class went and then out of nowhere he begins talking about his
ex-best friend...who had...or more like has a crush on him. I
had no problem with that because I OBVIOUSLY could not
control her feelings for him but it's the fact that he constantly
brings it up and whenever he sees her he goes out of his way to
tell me how much he wants her. Even if it was a joke, it hurts
me considering they're both the same age and in the same

finally paying attention to the person next to me. It was a boy,

I cleared my throat and hoped that my voice didn't sound

His face contorted into a look of confusion and disbelief, "Yes

class.  actually, since 9 this morning to be exact," he spoke adding a

bit of sass into it.
 He saw how much that it was angering me and he still went on
and so I came off the field and left him playing volleyball. I let out and awkward chuckle and wiped my dried-up tears. 

He didn't follow me.  "I’m sorry, I didn't notice, I always tend to space out a lot, I’ll
leave if you want."
An awkward cough broke me out of my thoughts and I turned
my head to the side and the prettiest eyes I've ever seen were "Selina...you don't have too, besides the bell's going to ring

staring back at me. I'm not just talking about the colour. anytime soon."
I gasped quietly and he gave me a questioning look, "You
know my name?"
"Well yeah...which person in 4th form doesn't? You're a class
representative not to mention you've got friends in all the
classes plus you're also related to the Head Prefect" He
answered as though it was so obvious.
"Oh!" I laughed. "I feel awkward since I don't know yours
and... I also totally ignored your presence. I’m so sorry."
He rolled his eyes and braced back, "Yeah I noticed."
"So, are you going to tell me your name?"
"Ayden."
Ayden. Ayden..."Ayden Finn?" I only knew one Ayden and he
was in my best friend, Erica's class, I remember her telling me
about him.
He nodded and I gave him a wide smile, "Oh my gosh I knew I
knew you, you're that boy with the same last name as her right?
The boy she calls her husband."
We let out a laugh and fell into a comfortable silence. No role
modelz by J Cole began playing from his phone and I began
humming softly.
"You listen to J Cole?"
"Elemefayoh yeah I do..sometimes..depends on my mood."

The song went on like background as he looked like he wanted
to ask something.
"Yes?" I asked giving him the go ahead.
"I... why were you crying earlier?" He questioned as though Id
burst into tears anytime soon.
I fell silent and wasn't sure whether I should answer. But at the
same time, I felt connected to him somehow. Maybe it's his
eyes.

"Uh...you know my boyfriend, right?" 

"That tall big guy in 6th form?"

I nodded softly and continued. "Well we've been together for 6

months now, and yeah i've been happy and I really like him
and he's funny and all but sometimes...sometimes he carries his
jokes too far." He scooched closer to me and urged me to
continue. "His ex-best friend liked his. He liked her too but she
rejected him and now were together and she’s trying to get
with him, he won't block her because "they have history" and
what not and that's fine by me because I trust him but it’s the
fact that he can joke about getting with her when we are in a
relationship together. It’s not the first time he’s done it but I’m
fed up. Did I overreact
