III.PROCEDURE

A. Reviewing previous lesson or presenting the new lesson


Show pictures of community leaders known in the locality.(integration in AP)

Let the pupils identity who are they?


Present a list of adjectives.
Discuss to the pupils the meaning of each adjective through using it in a sentence or translating it in
hiligaynon.
Let the pupils describe each community leaders by choosing from the list of adjectives presented.

B. Establishing a purpose for the lesson

Look at the two pictures of classroom. Identify the differences.

C. Presenting examples/ instances of the new lesson


Akira is a bright pupil because she always comes to school early and read books while the teacher is not around. Let us
read what she says about them.

1. I read interesting books.


2. I read two books every day.
3. Books take me to beautiful places.
4. I love to meet new words everyday.
5. I see square and rectangular books there.
6. I read stories about wild a animals.
7. I see pictures of red flowers and green plants.
8. I see pictures of colorful fish.

D. Discussing new concepts and practicing new skills


Ask questions in relation to the sentences presented.
1. What does Akira do in the classroom?
2. How many books does she read every day?
3. What does she meet everyday?
Etc.....
Let the pupils identify and underline the describing words in each sentence.
Let them also identify the words being described.
Let them discover that the describing words are called adjectives through presenting a jumbled letters.

E.Let the pupils read each sentence again and identify the adjective used and the word it describes.
Let them write their answers in the proper column.

F. Developing mastery (leads to Formative Assessment )


Present real objects to the class.Let the pupils describe using the different senses of their body.(integration in HEALTH )

G. Finding practical application of concepts and skills in daily living


Group the class into three.Each group has its own picture to describe.Let each group present their answer
through:

-Short paragraph
-rap/song
-simple advertisement

H.Making generalizations and abstractions about the lesson

What is an adjective?Ask one pupil to write his answer on the board.


I. Evaluating learning
Show pictures of Philippine National Symbols(integration in AP).
Let the pupils complete a sentence about each picture using adjectives presented by the teacher on
the board.
