 Al DHAEN Contracting & Trading (ACT) has been established in 1990

B-Span division inception in 2003, has obtained the privilege as the manufacturer of the B-Span
metallic building system, and the product has been registered at the ministry of industry and
commerce under the name of (Al Daen B-Span), B-Span introduces you a new innovation in
roofing and steel building system industry, for the first time in Bahrain.

B-Span has executed many government and private projects in all areas of Bahrain, these

will double in the future.

B-Span building are tailor-made solutions to customer needs, we provide a complete turnkey
package with respect to design, fabrication and erection of the complete building including the
sub structure works, the entire engineering process is computerized with the use of established
design and analysis software packages, our workforce consist of engineers, technicians and
skilled worker with extensive experience in conventional steel buildings and arch panel
construction industry.

 The arch panel machine consists of three major working components:

 The panel forming machine

 The curving machine

 The seaming machine

Using its roll forming components, it shape structural grade steel coil into straight panels, it

then corrugates and curves those straight panels into arches dimensioned to the pre-set size

to meet the building requirement, theses curved panels are then assembled on the ground,

using an electrically powered seaming machine into 3 - 5 panels , these

group of panels are placed into position directly to the foundation

the end walls and side walls are shaped from straight panels, cut to size,

installed and seamed together, leaving rooms for doors, windows and vents in accordance with

the plans.

The core of this system lies in its arch shape formation that makes itself supporting and

effectively sustain external load factors without any steel structure and intermediate columns

thus providing large interior area with unrestricted mobility, the arches formed by B -Span

system are used either as a complete building (arch system) or as a roof over side walls (arch

roof system).

B-Span unique features …
Over the years we have gained the trust and respect of many of the key members of the
industry and as such we pride ourselves in knowing that the industry is doing and where it is
going, this understanding translates itself into the features
and benefits of our product as following:

I. B-Span arch panels are designed through its arch shape

formation to be totally self-supporting and do not require any
support structure as needed in standard steel frame building,
the self-supporting arches can span up to 24 meters.

II. In the conventional systems, sheets are mounted on roofs

or walls by a huge quantity of screws, which may allow the
rain water to enter inside the building, the B-Span steel
buildings are waterproofed, because the arches and the walls are seamed together in a totally
waterproof joint by the electric seaming machine, no nuts bolts, or screws are used in the
erection of the arch roofs or the walls.

III. The arch shape of the building enables more effective dispersion of external horizontal
forces during high wing condition & could withstand gusts of wind that could go up-to
140km/hr.

IV. Low cost, the roof covering integrate the heat preservation, heat insulation, ventilation,
lighting together to form a uniform system

V. The necessary time needed to execute a B-Span steel building is less than the time needed to
execute a conventional steel building because of high production and installation rate of the
arch panels, the B-Span system is capable of producing and installing panels at the rate of 500
square meters per day.

VI. Long service life for more than about 40 years.

VII. The rollers of this arch roof forming machine are made of good steel, and then are coated
with chrome. So this equipment has good performance of corrosion resistance.

VIII. B-Span arches can be also be dismantled and erected again in any other place without any
changes in its shape or specifications where as it is impossible in the conventional steel system.

IX. In case of arch system type building, the machine can be taken directly to the site and the
building is fabricated completely on site, no shipping costs of building components from a
fabrication shop.
